Official Presentation of AMD G-T16R for Embedded Systems

AMD has replenished its product line with a new hybrid processor with appreciably low power consumption. G-T16R belongs to the Embedded G-Series line and is a part of AMD Brazos 2.0 platform. This APU is primarily destined for the embedded systems employment. AMD representatives stress out that G-T16R is an appropriate solution to be used in transport equipment, trade and cash desk stations, medical electronics, as well as in industrial administrative systems.



The company has managed to design its hybrid processor in a way to make it more saving than any other product of the same line. Thus, the average power consumption level equals to 2.3 W with Thermal Design Profile (TDP) of 4.5 W. Despite such low-power index, G-T16R is able to secure high performance showings which exceed the showings of the predecessor Geode LX three times as much. Iiyama Corp., a leading Japanese designer of high-end PC monitors and TV-sets, has recently released a new representative of ProLite series – the X2783HSU Full-HD monitor (1920x1080 resolution). The new-comer features 622.5x400.5x230 mm dimensions and 27-inch display with an anti-glare coating. Its case boasts a stylish, black glossy finish that adds to the model’s elegant design.



The Iiyama ProLite X2783HSU is based on AMVA+ array that comes along with a rear LED backlit. The array demonstrates the following specifications: aspect ratio – 16:9, response timeframe – 4 ms (GtG), contrast – 3000:1/5M:1 static/dynamic, viewing angles – 89/89 degrees up/down and 178/178 degrees H/V, amount of displayed colors – 16.7 m, maximal brightness – 300 cd/m2, synchronization – separate.

The Latest FSP Dagger Power Supply Units Are Already on Sale

The well-known PSU manufacturer FSP has voiced the launch of retailing of its latest modular Dagger line power units, being announced during the Computex event. The specialties are of 500 and 600 W nominal capacity, made in the SFX form-factor and are 80 Plus Gold certified (88% efficiency at 230 V). These are good-quality solutions, which do not take much room. Producers claim, they are perfect for micro-ATX or mini-ITX gaming systems.



The FSP SDA500 and SDA600 Dagger products give out 100% of power at 12V circuit, which means 41.6 А and 50 А respectively. The devices are overvoltage, overheat, overpower and short circuit protected, equipped with a power factor active correction mechanism and support SFX12V V3.3 and ATX12V V2.4 standards. Proper cooling is ensured by a low-noise 80 mm double ball bearing fan.


Presently the FSP Dagger SDA500 and SDA600 power supplies are officially on sale at the recommended price of $99 and $109. The company-issued warranty is 5 years.
