Crucial Showcases Voluminous MX300 Solid-State Drives

Crucial is about to launch a new series of voluminous SSDs, entitled MX300. The lineup consists of 2.5-inch models with thin cases (7 mm only), targeting as desktop so mobile platforms. Additionally, the delivery set offers a dedicated 2.5-inch frame for the installation into a 9.5-inch bay. The capacity of drives makes up 275 GB, 525 GB, 750 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB.

SSDs Crucial MX300 is developed on 32-layer Micron 3D NAND TLC chips (48 GB) as well as Marvell 88SS1074 controller. Data transfer process is realized via SATA III (6 Gb/sec) interface. The maximal sequential Read/Write speed equals to 530 MB/sec/510 MB/sec. In its turn, the maximal random data transfer index approximates 83.000/92.000 IOPS (Read/Write).

The greenhorns are thought to support the following technologies: AES, ECC, T.R.I.M., Data Path Protection, S.M.A.R.T., Active Garbage Collection, Power Loss Prevention, and Extreme Energy Efficiency. Besides, Dynamic Write Acceleration identifies and writes the …

MSI Unveils GTX 1050 & GTX 1050 Ti Lineups of Video Cards

MSI has taken its fans by surprise by introducing two lineups of video cards simultaneously. The lines (which embrace 10 models in total) are based on Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1050 & GeForce GTX 1050 Ti adapters. The new-comers feature either one or two fans and differ by the operational performance as well as functional. It stands to reason that the company has enlarged its Gaming series with 4 new products.

One-fan video cards are distinguished by the implementation of Military Class 4 hardware base, whereas the two-fan versions boast the incorporation of MSI Twin Frozr VI cooling system (TORX 2.0 fans), three operational profiles and overclocking features.

The MSI GeForce GTX 1050 series is introduced by the following models (Nvidia GP107-300 GPU, Pascal, 640 CUDA, 2GB GDDR5, 128-bit bus, DVI-D, HDMI 2.0b, DisplayPort 1.4):

— MSI GeForce GTX 1050 2G: base GPU frequency – 1354 MHz, dynamic GPU frequency – 1455 MHz, efficient memory frequency – 7.0 GHz;

MSI Unveils GeForce GTX 900 Gaming Graphics Couple

Following a long-lived trend in PC hardware market, MSI has unveiled its two new videocards of GeForce GTX 900 (Maxwell architecture) series just after Nvidia’s official release. The MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G and the MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G models boast both, identical and dissimilar features with their reference companions. But all in good time.

Videocards from MSI are characterized by analogous with Nvidia’s models memory subsystem. Hence, it has 4 GB of GDDR5 memory modules with 256-bit interface, 224 Gb/sec bandwidth, and 7010 MHz efficient clock frequency. Quite the contrary, both GPUs differ from the etalons, chiefly due to the integration of Gaming App brand utility; the latter enables GPUs to run in one of three available modes: Silent, Gaming and OC.

The MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G operates at 1051 MHz/1114 MHz/1140 MHZ at the start (showings for three modes) but might be overclocked to 1178 MHz/1253 MHz/1279 MHz respectively. The MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G runs at 1140 …
