Velox V55 and Slim S55: Two New SSD Series from Silicon Power

Silicon Power, a well-known developer of flash-memory drives, as well as HHD and DRAM, has replenished its inventory with two new SSD series, codenamed Velox V55 and Slim S55. All the models included into the lineups are traditionally designed in 2.5-inch form-factor. Both series will be represented in the market by three models of 60 GB, 120 GB and 240 GB capacity. Their major advantage over rival products lies in acceleration of all operations connected with upload, speed boosting and general performance. Velox V55 solid-state drives are housed in resistant cases made of polished aluminum. All three models feature identical dimensions: 100x70x9 mm and weigh 79 g. Release of SSD Velox V70 with SATA III Interface from Silicon Power

Silicon Power, an established manufacturer of flash memory and solid-state drives, has announced the release of its 'fresh' SSD, codenamed Velox V70. The new series is developed in 2.5-inch form factor and based on SandForce SF-2281 controllers from LSI. According to the words of the company's press service, these SSDs are designated for the installation into desktop PCs, as well as laptops. The Velox V70 series includes models of 60, 120, 240, and 480 GB volume capacity.

Velox V70 casing is made of gold-color aluminum and goes in 100x69.9x9.4 mm dimensions. Connection to the PC is realized due to the integrated SATA 3.0 interface. This series is known to support TRIM (which is called to prolong the product's durability and optimize performance) and NCQ options, and employs Error Correction Code (ECC) technology for the efficient monitoring over the transmitted data and timely correction of errors.
