New All-in-One Business Solution MSI AP190

MSI has just unveiled its newest all-in-one PC, codenamed AP190. The model of 575x447x197 mm dimensions is an ideal solution for corporate needs with a sleek design and outstanding possibilities. It features a removable rack that facilitates in switching the display into a portrait mode and in manipulation with sensor functional. Along with the display, the customers receive a keyboard, a wired mouse, and an optional TV-tuner. MSI promises to launch AP190 already in late January, though pricing is still unknown.

MSI AP190 runs under Windows 8.1 platform. The heart of the system is a two-core Intel Celeron 1037U CPU with an integrated Intel HD Graphics controller. Its maximal TDP level makes up 12 W only. The model features 18.5-inch display, supporting 1366x768 resolution.

HP Employs Processors AMD Athlon II X2 221 and Sempron X2 198

The release of hybrid AMD processors of A series was announced about a year ago, however, their actual appearance in the market was delayed for a few months. It is a well-known fact that a part of those processors for Socket FM1 platform has got idle graphics block; this part of processors has been codenamed Athlon and Sempron. The two processor models from this series Athlon II X2 221 and Sempron X2 198 can be currently found in PCs manufactured by HP company.

Both processors have been observed in the list of specifications of desktop PCs delivered by HP: Athlon II X2 221 is employed in HP Pavillon p6-1169cx and p6-1226cn models, while Sempron X2 198 is employed in HP Pavillion p6-1152cx, 1230cx, 1231cx, and 1159cx models. The major peculiarity of such technological solution is that HP PCs with those processors are delivered only to the Chinese market.

AMD Highlights Plans for the Transition to the 28nm Process

AMD is a company known for the continual and elaborate work on the development and improvement of all product lines, as well as technological standards. Thus, the coming 2013 year is supposed to be portentous for the company in terms of the implementation of 28nm standards in their APU. AMD has recently voiced the plans for the change of the Trinity APU to a new model, codenamed Richland, and the transition to 28nm technological process.

The new APU, Richland, is presumably to be released in two versions: dual-core and quad-core. It will support a number of high-performance technologies, such as Blu-ray 3D, dual graphics, Open CL, AMD turbo core overclocking, and some others.
