Spire Showcases New Cylinder-Shaped Swirl IV CPU Cooler

Spire is going to release a new extraordinary cooling solution: a cylinder-shaped CPU cooler, entitled Swirl IV. It is targeting Intel processors for Socket 2011/1366/115x/775 and AMD FM1/FM2/AM2/AM3 platforms with the maximum TDP level of 130 W. The new-comer has received RoHS and CE certification that proves its environmentally-friendly nature. An official release is postponed to January 2015.

Spire Swirl IV features 131x125x62 mm dimensions and weighs 690 g. Its heatsink consists of 45 aluminum fins, pierced by three copper zinc-plated U-shaped heatpipes (8 mm). Inside the heatsink one can find a 60 mm fan with blue LED backlit. Its rotational speed is controlled by PWM technology so that the blades could run between 600 RPM up to 2000 RPM.

BenQ, a Taiwanese developer of diversified PC equipment, promotes its new monitor that will be released later this year. Codenamed RL2455HM, the model replenishes 'RL' gaming series and is primarily intended for the connection with gaming consoles. Thus, it might become a perfect tool for the devotees of dynamic shooters and other console games.

BenQ RL2455HM features 24-inch display and 16:9 aspect ratio. It is characterized by Full HD resolution (1920x1080), 60 Hz scanning, wide viewing angles (170 degrees vertical, 160 degrees horizontal), and high dynamic contrast ratio that achieves 12 million to 1 index. This monitor employs TN panel but can boast quite an outstanding response time: on gray-to-gray switch, array response time equals to 1 ms only. Gigabyte is going to release a new data storage intended specifically for home use. Codenamed GR-EZI04H, this NAS is housed in a black casing and features 220x183x146 mm dimensions. The storage is based on the combination of two-core Intel Atom D2500 processor (clock frequency 1.8 GHz) and Intel ICH10R south bridge. It is estimated for four 3.5-inch drives of up to 3TB in capacity each. Each of the drives should employ SATA II interface.

The overall volume of DDR3 RAM (1066 MHz) can achieve 4GB. This data storage is controlled by Windows Home Server 2011 or Embedded Linux OS platforms. All interface in/outputs are located on the rear panel. Here one can find a couple of USB 2.0 and the same number of USB 3.0 ports, a single D-Sub port, one DC input, and two more RJ-45 sockets.
