APU AMD A10-4600M Review

Intel and AMD companies have established a good reputation for providing efficient hardware solutions for all customer groups. Each new product introduced by the two companies enters the top sales ranks and this promotes for the competition. AMD has recently produced a new APU solution based on Trinity architecture with graphics module VLIW4 and called it AMD A10-4600M. This model can boast the whole spectrum of improvements and advanced features as compared with its predecessor APU Llano, and is intended to beat its rival Intel in efficiency and performance.



Trinity Architecture


CPU Trinity is based on Piledriver micro architecture which superseded Bulldozer from AMD. The distinctive feature of Piledriver is that it’s primarily integrated in a mobile APU. AMD Highlights Plans for the Transition to the 28nm Process

AMD is a company known for the continual and elaborate work on the development and improvement of all product lines, as well as technological standards. Thus, the coming 2013 year is supposed to be portentous for the company in terms of the implementation of 28nm standards in their APU. AMD has recently voiced the plans for the change of the Trinity APU to a new model, codenamed Richland, and the transition to 28nm technological process.



The new APU, Richland, is presumably to be released in two versions: dual-core and quad-core. It will support a number of high-performance technologies, such as Blu-ray 3D, dual graphics, Open CL, AMD turbo core overclocking, and some others.

Greeting a New ProLite XB2483HSU PC Monitor from iiyama

A renowned Japanese manufacturer of TV-sets and PC displays, iiyama Corp., has enriched its inventory of monitors with a new model, codenamed XB2483HSU. The new-comer from ProLite series features 24-inch screen and 565.5x386.5x516.5 mm dimensions. The heart of the model is AMVA+ array, equipped with LED backlit. It ensures Full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and wide viewing angles (178/178 degrees in both aspects).



The iiyama ProLite XB2483HSU is housed in a black-painted case with a multi-functional stand. The latter provides for the adjustment of height, tilt, rotation, and display mode (landscape or portrait). It should be noted that in GtG background array response time makes up 4 ms only. At the same time, the maximal brightness equals to 250 cd/m2, whereas contrast ratio marvels by accuracy and sharpness: 3000:1 — static and 5 M:1 – dynamic.
