Greeting Hi-Fi H81MDC Motherboard from Biostar

Biostar is proud to release a multifunctional micro-ATX motherboard that belongs to the new-gen Puro Hi-Fi lineup. Codenamed Hi-Fi H81MDC, it features 244x230 mm dimensions and is characterized by black-and-red PCB design. The board is based on Intel H81 Express chipset, supporting LGA1150-compatible CPUs of Haswell generation (Pentium, Core i3/i5/i7 series) with the maximal TDP of 95W.

Biostar Hi-Fi H81MDC is primarily peculiar by the realization of a high-end audio subsystem. It is based on a 7.1-channel Realtek ALC892 controller. This subsystem embraces high-quality components, as well as an additional shielding, called Hi-Fi Ground) of the multi-layer PCB. Support of Hi-Fi Power technology provides for an independent power supply to each analog and digital audio channel. The plate is protected against electrostatic discharge on connection of headphones/a microphone.

To proceed with audio subsystem, it comes with an onboard amplifier for headphones; it ensures the …

The First Data about AMD Ryzen R7 1800X, R7 1700X and R7 1700 Cost Have Been Revealed

From day to day we obtain more and more info about AMD Ryzen processors and changes in company naming. Data on several Ryzen CPUs prices are already available online and should be treated with caution, because AMD specialties’ success depends on their cost-productivity correlation.

Thus, a new series flagship, R7 1800X, will cost 600 EUR. Its overfrequency will make 4 GHz. The basic frequency is likely to be 3.6 GHz. This model claims to provide competition for the Intel Core i7-6900K product from the Broadwell-E family, which is sold at 1,000 USD. CPU R7 1700X is expected to cost 470 EUR and deliver the 3.8 GHz enhanced frequency. It is worth more, than Core i7-7700K, which costs 350 USD, thus we can assume, its productivity level will be higher. However, CPU R7 1700 with 3.7 GHz overfrequency will be retailed at the price tag of 390 EUR and feature just 65 W TDP.

One should take into account, that the prices indicated are meant for Europe; in the USA CPUs may be …

Radeon Vega Frontier Edition by AMD Is a Professional Solution of the Radeon PRO Line

At the Financial Analyst Day 2017 event, AMD has presented Radeon Vega Frontier Edition, which is a video card from the Radeon PRO family.

The novelty is a professional solution, based on the Vega GPU with 64 computing units (4096 streaming processors). It offers 16 GB of HBM2 memory (High Bandwidth Cache). The memory bandwidth claimed is 480 GB/sec. Single precision compute performance (FP32) is 13 TFLOPS, and the half-precision compute performance (FP16) is 25 TFLOPS. Regarding this data, one can assume that GPU frequency comes up to 1,586 MHz.

According to AMD announce, Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is a device, meant for such tasks as games and VR content development, visualisation and machine learning.

A good news is that the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition graphics cards delivering starts in June this year. The price is unknown yet, however, we should remember, that we are talking about a professional device, which most likely will cost pretty much.
