Gigabyte Debuts with Mini-ITX Motherboard C1007UN-D

Gigabyte has officially introduced a new motherboard model C1007UN-D, developed in mini-ITX form-factor. As seen from the dimensions, the novice is intended to be employed within small-sized multimedia or industrial systems. Chipset Intel NM70 with the integrated two-core ULV processor Intel Celeron 1007U are considered to be the heart of the board. The CPU is cooled down by a compact active cooling system which involves an aluminum heatsink and a small fan.

Video subsystem is represented by an integrated graphics core that belongs to Intel HD Graphics series. The core runs at the nominal 350 MHz clock frequency, however this index might be dynamically increased up to 1000 MHz. Audio subsystem is realized by means of Realtek ALC887 controller that supports 7.1-channel sounding. Network facilities (LAN) are ensured due to a pair of gigabit controllers elaborated by Realtek.

To continue, memory subsystem consists of two DIMM slots which support up to 8 GB modules of DDR3-1333 …

Greeting One More Chassis of Urban Series from Thermaltake

Following the release of Urban S31 PC chassis, Thermaltake put its best foot forward to introduce one more representative of Urban series – Urban S41. This is a mid-tower case of a minimalistic design, with totally black exterior and interior. The model is vested in SECC steel coverage and will be available in two framework variations: with a large side-facet window and without it. In its entirety, the chassis features 516x220x520 mm dimensions and weighs 8.9 kg.

Thermaltake Urban S41 is ready to welcome all contemporary motherboards of ATX and micro-ATX standard. Despite its mid-tower framework nature, its internal capacity does not yield to some full-tower case species. Therefore, it positions four external drive bays of 5.25-inch format, five internal bays for 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives, and seven slots for PCI expansion cards. The chassis is made of high-quality plastic, supplemented by a fine-meshed metallic grid on the front panel.

Inside, there is a single rack for the installation of optical drives; it’s estimated for two 5.25-inch units. There is also space for 4x 3.5-inch drives and 1x 2.5-inch drive. Hence, there is little space for graphics adapters, the length of which should not exceed 358 mm. The layout is intended for 140-mm high CPU coolers & standard ATX PS/2 power supply units.

SilverStone Precision PS12 is shipped with a single preinstalled 120-mm fan (front panel). Additionally, it’s possible to include one 80-mm fan (front panel) and one 80-/92-mm fan (rear panel). Pricing is set at $45.
