ASRock Launches a New Motherboard with Intel SBA Support

ASRock announces the launch of a new budget-priced motherboard B75M-DGS R2.0. The model does not differentiate itself by an attractive design or wide overclocking facilities, as far as its main predestination is a stable operation in large corporate networks. The board is known to support Intel Small Business Advantage (SBA) software applet that optimizes PC operation and increases its performance. Despite such promising commodities, its price doesn't go over $60 per unit.

ASRock B75M-DGS R2.0 is designed in micro-ATX form-factor; this limits the number of supported expansion slots and other interfaces. As seen from the codename, the motherboard is based on Intel B75 system logics and shows compatibility with Intel Celeron, Intel Pentium and Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors (second and third generation) compatible with Socket LGA1155. PC Cases Enermax iVektor to Be Launched in Late August

Enermax is going to release its new iVektor series of PC cases already in late August. First seen at Computex 2013, these products draw prime attention due to unusual design and voluminous internal layout. The series counts three models that are differentiated by color: white version – Enermax iVektor (ECA3310A-W), black version – Enermax iVektor (ECA3310A-B), and red version – Enermax iVektor (ECA3310B-R). They are destined to be employed as the basis for the assembling of various system configurations.

All iVektor representatives are developed in midi-tower form-factor, featuring steel and plastic chassis. The cases support ATX/micro-ATX motherboards and seven expansion slots. Internal layout presupposes the incorporation of three 5.25-inch optical drives, as well as seven 3.5-inch drives. The height of a supported power supply unit might not exceed 179 mm.

Haswell processors for laptops will consume up to 57 W, desktop - up to 100

Intel provides with three graphics levels: GT1, GT2 and GT3. Desktop processors won’t receive graphics performance higher than GT2, but mobile processors will be able to boast of with GT3 class. Support of PCI Express 3.0 for Haswell processors will be quite usual characteristics, but at the memory controller little progress is seen — yet provides dual-channel DDR3-1600.

By energy consumption Haswell desktop versions will be divided into models with values of 35, 45, 65 and 95 watts of TDP level. For mobile processors the values are ​​37, 47 and 57 W.
