ASRock FM2A88M-HD+ to Support the Latest AMD Kaveri APUs

ASRock has recently announced a new series of motherboards that are based on the prime-class AMD A88X chipset, targeting Socket FM2(+) CPUs of Trinity and Richland generation. Moreover, they are supposed to support the new-gen AMD Kaveri APUs with Steamroller microarchitecture. One of the most outstanding models within the series is FM2A88M-HD+ motherboard, which features a large amount of slots and sockets. At the same time, it remains a cost-efficient solution.

ASRock FM2A88M-HD+ is designed in a micro-ATX form-factor, featuring 234x183 mm dimensions. The company claims that this model is able to accommodate DDR3 RAM with 2133 MHz frequency, housed in two DIMM slots. Therein, the maximal memory capacity might achieve 32 GB. Hardware base consists of prime-quality solid-state capacitors and durable chokes. Three expansion slots are introduced by one PCI, one PCIe 2.0 x1, and one high-speed PCIe 3.0 x16; the latter demonstrates up to 15.75 Mb/sec bandwidth.

ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Professional Gaming i7: Ambitious Mainboard for Ambitious Gamers

Gamers all over the world have got another cause for rejoicing: the debut of Fatal1ty Z170 Professional Gaming i7 motherboard. According to ASRock, the model is the most efficient mainboard in the company’s lineup. Designed in ATX form-factor, it’s based on Intel Z170 chipset that is ready to welcome Intel Skylake CPUs with LGA1151 socket (Core i3/i5/i7, Pentium, Celeron).

ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Professional Gaming i7 captures the eyes by a true gaming black-and-red color gamut and a selected hardware base. The 12-phase VRM system provides power to the most demanding processors. Besides, all the components are cooled down by means of a passive cooler.

The PCB offers 4 DIMM slots which are targeting DDR4 memory modules with 3866+ MHz clock frequency. The maximal capacity of the integrated memory might not exceed 64 GB. To create storage subsystem the user might employ 4x SATA III ports, 3x SATA Express (compatible with SATA III), and 3x Ultra M.2 slots with 32 Gb/sec …

PowerColor Outs an Overclocked Radeon R9 270 OC Graphics Card

Along with other AMD partners, PowerColor has elaborated its own version of Radeon R9 270 adapter. The PowerColor Radeon R9 270 OC is differentiated from rival products by an improved cooling system and factory overclocked frequencies. Its release is scheduled for late November and the retail price won’t hit over $180.

To begin with, this graphics card is naturally based on AMD Curacao Pro GPU, developed under 28 nm technological process. It consists of 1280 current processors, 32 ROPs and 64 TMUs. The core runs at 930 MHz frequency and is able to gain 955 MHz frequency on overclocking. The incorporation of GDDR5 memory (2 GB) with 256-bit bus interface ensures some striking bandwidth of 180 Gb/sec; this provides for the support of gaming applications with high resolution. Memory chip operates at 1400 MHz nominal frequency but might gain the index of 5600 MHz of effective frequency on overclocking.

Cooling system, implemented within Radeon R9 270 OC, cannot be called …
