Meet Small-Sized QC5000M Mainboard from ASRock

ASRock enters the mainboard market with a new micro-ATX solution, entitled QC5000M. The greenhorn takes Kabini platform as the basis, featuring AMD A4-5000 hybrid processor (28 nm) with 4 Jaguar cores and 1.5 GHz clock frequency. The APU is accompanied by two slots for one-channel DDR3-1600 MHz RAM (up to 32 GB) and an integrated AMD Radeon HD 8330 graphics (500 MHz clock frequency, compatibility with DirectX 11.1 standard).

The implemented APU boasts 15 W TDP only, requiring a small-sized heatsink for efficient cooling. The model takes power via 24-pin ATX connector and is based on AMD A68 chipset. It is equipped with a single PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot, a pair of PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots, and the same amount of SATA III 6 Gb/sec ports.

Thermalright Launches New Low-Profile CPU Cooler AXP-200

Thermalright, a Taiwanese developer of advanced cooling solutions, enters into the market with a new low-profile CPU cooler – the successor of the last year’s model AXP-100. Codenamed AXP-200, the product features 150x140x60 mm dimensions and is intended to be incorporated into HTPC systems, as well as in compact PC chassis with the support of mini-ITX motherboards. This cooler is compatible with the majority of up-dated platforms, including Intel LGA 1150/1155/2011/1156/1366/775 and AMD Socket AM3/AM3+/AM2/AM2+/FM2/FM1.

The first thing that should be noted about AXP-200 is that it’s a more powerful version of the predecessor, ready to dissipate heat even without the fan from all processors with TDP level of up to 35 W. Asus Announces ROG Poseidon GTX 780 Adapter with DirectCU H2O

Asus has officially introduced a new add-on to the GTX 780 graphics cards series – the ROG Poseidon GTX 780 (codename: Poseidon-GTX780-P-3GD5). The new-comer is initially differentiated by the incorporation of a hybrid DirectCU H2O cooling system, as well as of prime-quality components. The heart of the model is Nvidia GK110 GPU with 2304 CUDA cores. It operates at 1006 MHz. the GPU is accompanied by 3 GB of GDDR5 memory (384-bit bus), running at 1502 MHz (6008 MHz – efficient).

Asus ROG Poseidon GTX 780 employs a qualitative printed circuit board that boasts 10-phase Digi+ VRM digital power subsystem. Reliability of operation is ascribed to Black metallic solid-state capacitors, ferrite chokes with Super Alloy Power support, and classy transistors.
