Asus Launches 4K-Capable MG24UQ Monitor

Asus is about to launch a 23.6-inch PC monitor, first seen at CES 2016. The new-comer is basically targeting inveterate gamers who would love the company’s brand facilities such as GamePlus & GameVisual. The model is developed on IPS panel with 16:9 aspect ratio, 4 ms response time, 178/178 degrees viewing angles as well as 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840x2160).



Asus MG24UQ is able to ensure the premium brightness of 300 cd/m2, dynamic contrast ratio of 100M:1 and the maximal amount of displayed colors (16.7 million). The monitor is furnished with a pair of 4-watt speakers (2 watt each) which provide for a powerful & pure sounding.

Biostar B85Z: Micro-ATX Mainboard for Audiophiles

Biostar is about to release a new oblectation for audiophiles – the B85Z system board. Featuring micro-ATX form-factor (224x174 mm dimensions), the model combines a full-blown spectrum of facilities each full-format board has. It is developed on Intel B85 Express chipset with Socket LGA1150 for Intel Haswell processors of Core, Pentium and Celeron families. The nominal delivery kit will allegedly comprise DVD with drivers, a pair of SATA cables, a user’s manual, and a rear panel plug.



Biostar B85Z comes equipped with prime-quality capacitors, field-effect transistors, and 4-phase VRM. Memory subsystem is introduced by two slots for DDR3-1600 MHz modules (up to 16 GB overall capacity). Intel Thunderbolt Ready Facilitates in Upgrading Your Desktop PC

Last week Intel announced a new instrumentality for upgrading desktop PC, called Thunderbolt Ready. This tool will help in incorporating Thunderbolt interface into the motherboards which initially do not have the support for it. However, only the motherboards with ‘Thunderbolt Ready’ marking and an inbuilt General-purpose I/O (GPIO) socket might fall under the upgrade. In addition to this feature, the user will have to acquire a dedicated card to enable the interface.



This card is installed into an appropriate PCI Express slot and is then connected to GPIO, as well as DisplayPort socket of the integrated/discrete GPU controller, due to the cables that go in batch. After this, the customer needs to upload dedicated software in order to activate the Thunderbolt. According to Intel, there are currently more than 100 alike products with Thunderbolt support; the majority of them are certified for the usage with PCs on Windows or Mac OS X platforms.
