Scythe to Release a General-Duty Grand Kama Cross 3 CPU Cooler

Scythe, a well-known Japanese designer of top-notch PC cases & cooling systems, announces the release in the European market of its general-duty CPU cooler, entitled Grand Kama Cross 3 (codename: SCGKC-3000). The greenhorn features 171x147x140 mm dimensions and weighs 790 g. It is compatible with an overwhelming majority of Intel and AMD platforms (except for AM1). Pricing is set at 40 EUR.

Scythe Grand Kama Cross 3 consists of a two-section aluminum heatsink that includes multi-form ribs, a copper base, four copper heatpipes, and a 140-mm fan GlideStream. The latter supports PWM technology which allows the blades to rotate within 400 RPM and 1300 RPM range. On low revolutions the airflow reaches 50.8 CFM, while on the peak rotational index the airflow achieves 165.1 CFM index. PowerColor Intros New Graphics Card with Fling Force Cooler

TUL Corporation, in the framework of its PowerColor brand, introduces a new graphics card with quite an original way of air cooling organization. The new-coming adapter, codenamed PowerColor Radeon HD 7850 Fling Force, employs 'two-storied' cooler of an unusual structure. Along with an aluminum heatsink, copper heat pipes, and a voluminous fan, the manufacturer implemented non-monolithic fan ribs. Their tips are fixed to the main part in a way to change their location relative to the plain of rotation.

On conditions of low rotational speed, tips of the ribs are located at approximately 80 degrees angle relative to the graphics card. On conditions of heightened speed, the ribs become more linear; this way, the impeller diameter enlarges from 92 mm to 95 mm. ASRock has recently announced a new series of motherboards that are based on the prime-class AMD A88X chipset, targeting Socket FM2(+) CPUs of Trinity and Richland generation. Moreover, they are supposed to support the new-gen AMD Kaveri APUs with Steamroller microarchitecture. One of the most outstanding models within the series is FM2A88M-HD+ motherboard, which features a large amount of slots and sockets. At the same time, it remains a cost-efficient solution.

ASRock FM2A88M-HD+ is designed in a micro-ATX form-factor, featuring 234x183 mm dimensions. The company claims that this model is able to accommodate DDR3 RAM with 2133 MHz frequency, housed in two DIMM slots. Therein, the maximal memory capacity might achieve 32 GB. Hardware base consists of prime-quality solid-state capacitors and durable chokes.
