Giada Presents a New Mini-PC for 'Demanding' System Environments

Giada Technology announces the launch of a flagship mini-PC model, codenamed D2305. This product might become an ideal solution as for home multimedia systems, so for those platforms that are quite demanding towards the performance, graphics and stability of operation. Indeed, D2305 is able to provide all above mentioned facilities plus really low power consumption.

Giada D2305 is based on Intel Ivy Bridge Core i5/i7 processor and employs Intel HM77 Express chipset. It is equipped with Nvidia GT640 GPU that secures an outstanding video performance and the support of Full HD graphics. The inventory involves 4GB of DDR3 memory, the volume of which can be extended to 8GB, a couple of mini-PCI Express slots, a single 4-in-1 card reader (MS Pro+MS+SD+MMC), and a single mSATA slot for the work with Intel SRT technology.

The interface panel is introduced by S/PDIF, eSATA, DVI and HDMI ports, as well as by two USB 2.0 and three USB 3.0 ports. Network facilities are represented by …

Meet Pure Power 9 CM Top Series of PSUs from Be Quiet!

Be Quiet! enters the market with a new series of power supply units, entitled Pure Power 9 CM. The lineup includes models of 400 W, 500 W, 600 W, and 700 W power. All of them boast the implementation of Active Clamp + SR topology with high-quality hardware base. Besides, the manufacturer decided to ditch group mechanism of voltage stabilization; this promoted for more efficiency which index achieves 91%.

High efficiency level allowed Pure Power 9 CM units to receive 80Plus Silver certificate. The 12V bus is divided into two lines with the maximal load capacity. Cooling process is attached to a single low-noise 120-mm fan, based on rifle bearing (100 thousand hours MTBF). Its maximal rotational speed varies within 1060-1680 RPM range.

To continue, Be Quiet! has incorporated into the models all possible security mechanisms, including OPP, SCP, UVP, OCP, and others. The units come with an additional Surge Absorber filter that protects the circuitry from voltage surges. …

PNY Debuts with GeForce GTX 750 and GTX 750 Ti Adapters

PNY, following an echelon of graphics cards manufacturers, has launched its own versions of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 750 adapters. The PNY GeForce GTX 750 and PNY GeForce GTX 750 Ti are based on power-efficient Maxwell architecture that does not compromise on performance. Both new-comers operate at etalon frequencies and are thought to provide entry-level customers with some outstanding facilities. The preliminary retail price of models makes up $124 and $149 for GTX 750 and Ti version correspondingly.

The PNY GeForce GTX 750 employs GM107-300 GPU (512 CUDA cores), whereas the PNY GeForce GTX 750 Ti is equipped with GM107-400 GPU (640 CUDA cores). Both run at 1020 MHz (nominal) / 1085 MHz (boost) clock frequency. The products are differentiated also by the incorporation of video memory.

The first model involves 1 GB of GDDR5 memory; it uses 128-bit interface and runs at 1250 MHz (nominal) / 5000 MHz (efficient) frequency. At the same time, the second model involves 2 GB of …
