Meet Three New Motherboards for Workstations and Servers from Gigabyte

Gigabyte, a global manufacturer of versatile PC hardware components, regularly updates its desktop motherboards product line, providing its customers with the most advanced facilities and performance. Still, the company is actively developing also a series of motherboards intended for the implementation into workstations and server systems.

Hence, Gigabyte has recently introduced three new models to replenish this series: GA-6PXSV4, GA-7PESH3, and GA-7PESH4. The users are able to create a really efficient system with the help of those boards in order to realize different computing activities due to GPU, CAD/CAE visualization or physical processors simulation.

All three motherboards are compatible with Intel Xeon E5-1600/2600 CPUs for Socket LGA2011 and take Intel C602 chipset as the basis. The first model from Gigabyte, GA-6PXSV4, features five expansion slots, including two PCIe 3.0 x16, one PCIe 3.0 x8, one PCIe 2.0 x1, and one more PCI. It supports up to 256GB of …

MSI Unveils GeForce GTX 900 Gaming Graphics Couple

Following a long-lived trend in PC hardware market, MSI has unveiled its two new videocards of GeForce GTX 900 (Maxwell architecture) series just after Nvidia’s official release. The MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G and the MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G models boast both, identical and dissimilar features with their reference companions. But all in good time.

Videocards from MSI are characterized by analogous with Nvidia’s models memory subsystem. Hence, it has 4 GB of GDDR5 memory modules with 256-bit interface, 224 Gb/sec bandwidth, and 7010 MHz efficient clock frequency. Quite the contrary, both GPUs differ from the etalons, chiefly due to the integration of Gaming App brand utility; the latter enables GPUs to run in one of three available modes: Silent, Gaming and OC.

The MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G operates at 1051 MHz/1114 MHz/1140 MHZ at the start (showings for three modes) but might be overclocked to 1178 MHz/1253 MHz/1279 MHz respectively. The MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G runs at 1140 …

Greeting Asus Maximus VI Formula Gaming Motherboard

Asus is going to put on sale its newest LGA1150 motherboard of ROG (Republic of Gamers) series, entitled Maximus VI Formula. The board features ATX form-factor and is based on Intel Z87 chipset that supports all Haswell-based Intel Core processors. The most peculiar thing about the new-comer is the availability of ROG Armor enclosure that covers the PCB on both sides. The top cover is made of ABS; it prevents the heat produced by the surrounding components (i.e. graphics adapters) from warming up the CPU and VRM systems. The rear cover is made of SECC steel that stops the PCB from bending.

Motherboard Maximus VI Formula houses four DIMM slots that support up to 32 GB dual-channel DDR3 memory modules with up to 3100 O.C MHz frequencies. 8-channel VRM system consists of NexFET transistors, Black Wing throttles, and high-efficiency solid-state capacitors. All power components are cooled down by a dedicated heatsink that is a part of a liquid-cooling system. This motherboard model …
