Two New Pocket-Size External Drives from HGST

HGST, a company that has been acquired by Western Digital, is going to gladden its devotees by a couple of external drives, codenamed G-Technology G-Drive mini and G-Technology G-RAID mini. Both models are characterized by a pocket-size design and distinguish themselves as the world's first serial devices employing 2.5-inch hard drive with the total of 1TB capacity. This is, indeed, an incredible property that can't be currently beaten by any rival product. Besides, the spindle implemented in the hard drive develops the speed of 7200 RPM.

Model G-Technology G-RAID mini features 149x83x38 mm dimensions and contains two hard drives of 2.5-inch standard. Each of the drives goes with 1TB capacity (the total capacity is 2TB). The implementation of Oxford 936 controller enables the possibility to organize RAID 0 and RAID 1 array configurations.
