D.F. Storm, a New Fan by Enermax, Offers 3,500 rpm Rotary Speed and Features the DFR Tech

The Enermax manufacturer launches its new product – the 120 mm D.F. Storm, which got its name due to high rotary speed (3,500 rpm in the most powerful Turbo mode, 2,800 rpm in the Overclocking mode and 2,200 rpm in the Performance mode). Due to the presence of an APS switch one can regulate speed without efforts; and the LED detector indicates the speed mode chosen. The novelty features the 263 m³ air flow at the 38 dBA noise level, the 11.131 (mm-H2O) static pressure, as well as pulse width modulation.

The MTBF figure claimed equals to 160,000 hours. Heat-stable components of high quality substantially contribute to this factor. The blades are constructed in a particular way to ensure high productivity under severe conditions. The DFR technology applied diminishes dust volume and extends the fan smooth operation term.

Regarding the specs, one may conclude, that D.F. Storm mostly fits for industrial sphere or gaming systems. This Enermax fan will be available on sale in …

New Gaming PC Chassis Versa G2 from Thermaltake

Thermaltake, a renowned Taiwanese PC hardware developer, has officially divulged the specifications of its new gaming chassis, codenamed Versa G2. The belonging to the gaming echelon is vindicated primarily by an eye-catching design. The casing is developed in mid-tower form factor, and is made of a durable steel (SGCC) and plastic. Its side plate contains an acrylic window with a few ventilation grids that showcase the internal layout of the chassis.

Thermaltake Versa G2 features 481x196x429 mm dimensions and is alloted for seven PCI/PCI Express expansion cards. It supports motherboard of ATX and micro-ATX standard and is notable by lower PSU localization. The internal spacing within the enclosure is sufficient for the installation of CPU cooler not more than 155 mm in height and of graphics card not more than 320 mm in length. The model is equipped with three external 5.25-inch drives and a single 3.5-inch drive, as well as with five internal 3.5-inch and a single 2.5-inch …

Nvidia Announces Quadro K6000 Professional Graphics Solution

Nvidia is going to release a new graphics card for professional use from Quadro series. Entitled Quadro K6000, it is targeting high-performance workstations, due to an uncommon computing efficiency with 5.2 TFLOPS single precision. This graphics adapter fully utilizes the computing possibilities of GK110 GPU and accommodates 12 GB(!) memory to lead across the segment.

Nvidia Quadro K6000 is based on GK110 graphics core (Kepler 28 nm architecture). As distinct from mainstream customer-oriented versions with neutered core – Titan, GeForce GTX 780/770 – this model employs a full-fledge core. This results in the augmentation of CUDA cores up to 2880 items, ROPs — up to 48 items, and TMUs — up to 256 items. GK110 here runs at 900 MHz.

In reference to GDDR5 video memory, its overall capacity makes up 12 GB, which is twice more than mainstream processors have. Its nominal clock frequency equals to 1502 MHz, while its effective index rises up to 6008 MHz. The connection …
