Kingmax to Amaze the Customers with mSATA MMP20 SSD

Solid-state drives with mSATA interface have become an efficient tool for the improvement of laptops and nettops performance. Kingmax has joined the ranges of companies that develop SSD technologies in mSATA form-factor. Its fresh model line, MMP20, is primarily targeted at the small form-factor systems and hybrid solutions like HDD+SSD. The SSD model line features ‘Premium Selected’ certificate and has undergone thorough testing challenges.

Kingmax mSATA MMP20 is a compact and effective solution not only for laptops and desktop systems, but also for embedded systems like tablets. Kingmax SSDs comply with JEDEC MO-300B requirements and have SATAII 3 Gb/sec interface. They are furnished with a controller which optimizes the memory monitoring to ensure the most appropriate performance and reliability. SATA interface is called to align the connection between the flash-memory and host-system; this is supposed to improve data reading and writing speed, OS and applications …

Non-reference GTX 760 Graphics Adapter with S.A.C. Cooling from Elsa

Elsa, a well-known Japanese manufacturer of graphics solutions for PC systems, is going to release its own non-reference model of Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 adapter. Codenamed Elsa GeForce GTX 760 S.A.C., the card is based on an original PCB with PCI-e 3.0 x16 interface. The heart of the model is GK104-225 chip (an estimated performance equals to 2.3 GFLOPS), designed under 28 nm Kepler microarchitecture. It features 1152 CUDA cores, 32 ROPs, 96 TMUs, and runs at the nominal 980 MHz frequency (1033 MHz on overclocking).

Graphics card GTX 760 S.A.C. carries 2GB memory of GDDR5 type that is equipped with 256-bit bus and operates at 6008 MHz clock frequency (effective index). Power supply process is realized via two 6-pin sockets. It should be noted that this model is known to consume not more than 170 W power. The reverse side of PCB contains video interface panel with four outputs: DisplayPort, HDMI, Dual Link DVI-D, Dual Link DVI-I.

Processors Intel Haswell to Rival Accelerator NVIDIA Tesla

Intel Corporation has the intentions to introduce DDR4 memory into their server processors of Haswell series. The launch of such technological approach is planned for the 2014, however the developments in this sphere have already started. Intel’s server solutions will become a part of Grantley platform and the samples of their new series will allegedly be announced next autumn. The preview of new processors makes it clear that some of the chips will be distinguished by the increased heat generation performance which will reach 160 W.

Hence, 16-core processors Haswell-EP will rival parallel computing accelerator NVIDIA Tesla but not AMD server solutions. Intel is going to provide various working frequency options and options with different number of active cores. At the same time, TDP will fluctuate within ranges of 160, 145, 135, and 120 W. In its turn, accelerator NVIDIA Tesla, which is based on GK110 processor, consumes approximately 300 W.
