Kingston Digital, a global designer of data storage and memory solutions, announces the release of a cost-effective SSD to extend V300 series. Codenamed Kingston SSDNow V300, the drives are intended specifically for cost-conscious consumers looking to upgrade their desktop or mobile systems. Under the claimed data, the new drives are ten times faster than standard HDDs and feature outstanding speed characteristics, where the spindle achieves 7200 rpm.

Kingston SSDNow V300 is based on SandForce SF-2281 controller and employs SATA 3 interface. The manufacturer offers its new products in three variations of 60GB, 120GB and 240GB capacity. New External Storage from Century Japan with Four Drives

Century Japan is planning to launch in home market its new external data storage system stipulated for the installation of four hard drives. Codenamed CRCH35U3IS, this storage features 260x130x185 mm dimensions. It is able to accommodate 3.5-inch, as well as 2.5-inch drives with dedicated adapters, which support SATA 3 6 Gb/sec interface. The storage is connected to the PC with the help of high-speed USB 3.0 port.
