ASMedia to Introduce USB 3.5 Controllers in 2014

ASMedia, an auspicious designer of PCIe bridges, USB 3.0 controllers and Switch IC items, announces the development of a new USB 3.5 controller. According to the preliminary information, this controller is going to support 10 Gb/sec data transfer speed, which is nearly twice higher than current USB 3.0. Earlier the launch of an advanced component was scheduled for late 2014, however, now the company is intended to officially introduce it early next year.

The decision to elaborate a speedier controller is explained by ASMedia in two ways. Firstly, the company is currently receiving more orders from motherboard manufacturers for the development of USB 3.0 hubs, due to the recent launch of Intel Haswell CPUs. Nonetheless, an enforcement of platform will sooner or later require an enforcement of various facilities, including connectivity and data transfer.

Secondly, USB 3.5 is called to rival Thunderbolt interface. It should be stressed that both interfaces feature analogous …

Abee Unveils a Pair of High-End Small-Sized PC Chassis

Abee, a company that earned popularity thanks to its high-end and unusual in design PC cases, is going to launch a pair of new top chassis, codenamed ACubic CP330 and Acubic CP730. Both models are distinguished by small-sized dimensions and by a truly high price. In this respect, Abee is going to beat Lian Li that is known for its rather costly casing solutions.

The developer houses its two new products in aluminum cases that are peculiar for their original design, with the combination of black and silver tints on the frontal panel to somehow resemble a chessboard. Rumours about postponement of procuring of desktop processors AMD Trinity are confirmed

Postponement of desktop processors Trinity (Socket FM2) release for October is becoming more possible. Not long ago such rumours were confirmed by authoritative Taiwan source. Experts say that in preparing procedure of desktop models Trinity, which must operate at frequencies up to 3.8 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo), AMD engineers faced with a small amount of chip slots. In this regard, there will be changes in the production process and the design of crystals Vishera. In addition to this, warehouses of Advanced Micro Devices and its partners are filled with surplus APU Llano, which are needed to be implemented in the coming months in any case.

The delay of Trinity will affect the timing removal of the old processors AM3 from the sale. These processors are still up 30% of the …
