Intel to Release CPU Avoton in Late 2013

Intel is known to develop CPU solutions for different types of systems, including home-based compact platforms, as well as corporate server systems. Not so long ago the company announced the decision to introduce its new solution for micro-servers, codenamed Bordenville, which is based on Centerton CPU. A new platform is going to provide good performance characteristics in combination with multifarious facilities. Still, Intel decided to move on and improve the platform for this segment by a more efficient product. Intel to Take Care about Power-Efficiency of Ivy Bridge Processors

The rising competition between the two giants in the manufacture of processing units, Intel and AMD, makes each of the two invent ever newer technologies and implement them in their products. The attempts to dominate in the market and win as many consumers usually develop into brand new approaches and brand new advanced facilities.

The official website of Sauris company is dazzled by the information about the sales start of the systems on modules AM3517/05. The new systems are based on high-performance microprocessors TI Sitara AM3517 or AM3505 developed in the SODIMM-204 form-factor. System designers have extended the data bus to 16 bit and connected it with the flash-memory chip. The extension of data bus allowed for the acceleration of the OS loading. In addition, the systems are equipped with a new keyboard controller that enables the connection of up to 80 keys; the integration of such solution permitted the designers to refuse from the additional elements of keyboard protection from electrostatic restrictions.
