LEPA NEOllusion CPU Cooler with an extraordinary LED backlighting

For the first time the LEPA NEOllusion CPU Cooler was demonstrated during the Computex 2016 exhibition. And the WOW moment is in its unique backlighting: LEDs are located not on the fan, but on the sides of the construction. Besides, their colour and work mode can be modified with the help of the control unit, which can be attached to the metal framework by magnetically charged legs.

The LEPA NEOllusion cooling system features the base, four 6 mm copper heat pipes with a direct contact to the CPU heat dissipation lid, the aluminum radiator and the 120 mm fan (its rotative speed range is 600–1800 rpm or 400–1000 rpm with a set adapter). With the special blades shape and excellent aerodynamic qualities it can pump the air flow of up to 128.12 m3/hr (up to 78.31 m3/hr with an adapter) at the static pressure of 2.41 mm H2O (0.9 mm H2O) and the noise grade of 33 dBA (19 dBA).

LEPA NEOllusion dimensions are 161.7 х 126 х 40 mm, and its weight is 645 g. It is compatible with …

Review of the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Video Card

Let’s have a quick glare at one of the latest novelties in the market of graphics solutions – another representative of ASUS, to be exact, ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.

Equipment and Design

The card comes in a small box. The package has got extra case pads, VELCRO ties for wires, as well as the code for World of Warships 15 days’ premium mode. A good set for a this class representative.

ASUS ROG Strix GeForce resembles older video cards in this series: the same solid cooling with a large heat sink and a pair of fans, strict design. Given the low TDP, everything looks quite serious. The total length of the video card is 24 cm. The cooler takes up two slots.

The reverse side is protected by a metal plate. In the corner there is an additional power slot having six pins. The regular version of GeForce GTX 1050 Ti needs no extra power. The side panel of the cooler has a small illuminated logo.

The backlight is customizable through the ASUS Aura app. …

The Intel Company Is Going to Give a Roland for an Oliver to AMD Ryzen

A short while ago the French Canard PC Hardware magazine has reported, that Intel is going to give fitting reply to AMD Ryzen pilot projects and plans to release two new Kaby Lake-S CPUs.

The first processor is expected to be launched under the Intel Core i7-7740K codename. It will get four compute cores with Hyper-Threading support, 8 MB of tertiary memory cache, unlocked multiplier and the 100 W basic TDP rate. Operating frequencies will lie in the range of 4.3–4.6 GHz in the Turbo Boost mode.

The second specialty is Core i5-7640K with four cores and 4–4.4 frequency of operation. It also features 6 MB of L3 cache, 100 W TDP and the support of Hyper-Threading technology, though we can’t be sure as for the last-named specification. One should admit, that heretofore only the Intel Core i7 line offered multithreading in its 4-core desktop processors.
