NZXT Rolls Out a New Chassis Phantom 630 Windowed Edition

NZXT has proudly announced the release of its newest PC chassis, codenamed Phantom 630 Windowed Edition. Being a modified version of Phantom 630 model, the ‘greenhorn’ is developed in ultra-tower form-factor, featuring a side-panel window. The case supports quite large motherboards (ATX, EATX, XL-ATX, and micro-ATX) and offers nine expansion slots.

Despite visual discrepancy with the original model, Windowed Edition preserved some of its basic features. Therefore, it allows for the integration of four 5.25-inch drives and eight 3.5/2.5-inch ones. The latter are installed into modular bays which can be removed if necessary. The chassis is ready to accept CPU coolers of 200 mm in height and long graphics adapters (up to 325 mm in length). In case the user decides to remove the internal drive bays, it will become possible to employ much longer adapters, up to 507 mm!

The other peculiarity of Phantom 630 Windowed Edition is the feasibility to incorporate two 2.5-inch …

Novelties by FSP – Windale 6 and Windale 4 Coolers – Are Compatible with All Modern Platforms

FSP, a well-known power units vendor, releases two new CPU cooling systems, namely the Windale 6 and Windale 4.

Windale 6 has 6 copper heat pipes and an array of appropriately sized aluminium fins. The Windale 4 construction includes 4 heat pipes and a diminished stack of fins. The products are of 240 and 180 W heat sink capability respectively.

Both cooling systems have one 120 mm fan with a friction bearing. Due to the PWM technology support the rotary speed can be adjusted in the range of 600–1,600 rpm. The ultimate air flow rate equals to 60 CFM (102 m³ per hour) at the 32 dBA noise level. The master model’s fan is supplied with blue LED- backlighting. The specialties from FSP are compatible with all modern platforms, including AMD AM4 and Intel LGA2011(-3).

Windale 6 weighs 823 g and features the 122 х 110 х 165 mm dimensions; and Windale 4 weighs 620 g and is of 122 х 83 х 158 mm size. These products are already available to official retailers. The …

Gigabyte to Release a New Mini-ITX GA-J1800N-D2H Motherboard

Gigabyte is going to release its latest elaboration – mini-ITX motherboard, codenamed GA-J1800N-D2H. The model is peculiar by the availability of an integrated two-core Intel Celeron J1800 CPU that runs at 2.4/2.5 GHz. In its turn, this processor boasts only 10 TDP level, so it might be efficiently cooled by a single aluminum heatsink, without fans. Upon the whole, the board is targeting entry-level desktop systems and comes to the market at the price tag of $60.

Gigabyte GA-J1800N-D2H accommodates two SO-DIMM slots, ready to house DDR3-1333 MHz memory modules with the maximal capacity of 8 GB. The connection of optical drives and other storage solutions is realized via two SATA II 3 Gb/sec ports. Expansion facilities are not so versatile but quite appropriate for a small-sized board: one PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot and one mini-PCI Express slot; the latter is intended for the connection of Wi-Fi module.
