ViewSonic TD2420: Monitor with Optical Touch Technology

ViewSonic, one of the leaders in the development of image display devices, has recently introduced a new 23.6-inch sensor monitor, codenamed TD2420. The model features 555.9x421.9x174.8 mm dimensions and supports two-point Optical Touch technology that recognizes up to two simultaneous touches, due to the integrated optical sensor. In addition, this display boasts anti-glare coverage and scratch-resistant surface (7H). Upon the whole, the product is designed to be used in medical or educational areas, as well as in home-based multimedia systems.

TD2420 accommodates TN panel and is equipped with LED backlight. It supports Full HD resolution (1920x1080) and is characterized by 5 ms response time (in Gray-to-Gray environment). The incorporation of an improved panel type resulted in the following image specifications: viewing angles make up 170/160 degrees (H/V), the maximal brightness achieves the index of 210 cd/m2, static contrast equals to 1000:1, and dynamic contrast equals to …

Antec Replenishes High Current Gamer M Series with Two New PSUs

Antec decided to expand its renowned High Current Gamer M series of power supply units with two new models. Codenamed HCG-750M and HCG-850M, the units are characterized by modular cable connectivity and rather high level of efficiency (up to 81% in 230V networks). Not for nothing this couple is honored by 80Plus Bronze certificate that vindicates their prime-quality. It must be noted that existent internal framework is totally the work of Seasonic, Antec’s contractor.

Both new-comers are equipped with four PCI Express Power (6+2)-pin cables and support 10/12/14/16-contact power sockets. The layout consists of two virtual +12V rails, Active PFC mechanism, and high-class Japanese capacitors. HCG-750M allows for the maximal loading on +12V rail of 62A at 744W, whereas HCG-850M allows a bit higher loading of 70A at 840W.

With the purpose to prolong the units’ lifetime, Antec furnished the models with all up-dated security functions, featuring: UVP (low voltage protection), …

Graphics Adapter Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost with Modified Frequencies

Taking the lead from a number of Nvidia’s partners, Gigabyte has launched its own sample piece of GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost graphics adapter. It is differentiated primarily by modified GPU and memory frequencies, as well as by an improved PCB design. The latter employs Ultra Durable 2 technology that stipulates the implementation of high-quality hardware components, including ferrite chokes, solid-state capacitors, and Low RDS Mosfets transistors with reduced resistance on mode changes.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost is based on GK106 GPU, developed under 28 nm technological process. Its nominal frequency has been increased from the reference 980 MHz to 1033 MHz, while its dynamic frequency has been changed from 1032 MHz to 1098 MHz. This graphics adapter is furnished with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory, which clock frequencies have been, vice versa, lowered: nominal index dropped from 1502 MHz to 1250 MHz, dynamic index dropped from 6008 MHz to 5000 MHz.

This model employs …
