A Pair of Monitors with 5:4 Aspect Ratio from iiyama

Iiyama, a Japanese monitor manufacturer, replenished its product line with a pair of displays with an unusual aspect ratio. Models E1980SD-W1and E1980SD-B1 feature 5:4 aspect ratio and differ from each other only by the color of casing (white and black). Along with all up-dated technologies and possibilities, iiyama offers a 3-year limited warranty that secures absolutely free servicing for all customers. The recommended price for the new entries is established at $177 mark.

Monitors E1980SD-W1and E1980SD-B1 employ TN+film panel type and are characterized by 5 ms array response time (transfer from White to Gray). The nominal resolution of 1280x1024 ensures good viewing angles (170 degrees across and 160 degrees down), 250 cd/m2 maximal brightness, and 1000:1 maximal static contrast with five million to 1 dynamic contrast. Option iStyleColor is responsible for the improvement of image quality.

Both models are characterized by the reduced showings of power consumption. …

Welcome In New LPDDR4 Memory Chips from Samsung

Samsung settles down to a large-scale production of LPDDR4 mobile memory chips. Elaborated according to 20 nm technological norms, the new-comers boast the integration of an advanced technology that ensures 8 Gb crystal density and twice the performance compared with LPDDR3 chips. Currently, the company produces models of 2 GB and 3 GB capacity, however in early 2015 it will set to the development of 4 GB solutions.

New LPDDR4 memory modules are targeting various mobile devices with thirst for lightning-fast data transfer speed. The latter index might accelerate up to 3200 Mb/sec; this will allow employing chips for the implementation of resource-intensive tasks, such as recording and playback of high-resolution video or serial filming.

Samsung developers claim that 2 GB LPDDR4 DRAM is 40% more power-efficient than counterparts with 4 Gb crystal density. This became possible due to the adopting of low-voltage swing-terminated logic for I/O signaling. As a result, the …

Deepcool Announces a Pair of Maelstrom Liquid Coolers

Deepcool has extended Maelstrom lineup of liquid coolers with two new models – the 120T and the 240T. The key distinction between the pair is the amount of 120 mm fans employed (one or two). Both come equipped with red LED backlights and show compatibility with the majority of update Intel & AMD platforms. The maximal supported CPU TDP level makes up 140/150 W.

Deepcool Maelstrom 120T comes with a single fan, whereas its companion, 240T, features a couple of fans, based on fluid bearing with 50.000 hours MTBF. The units run at 1800 RPM, creating up to 83.64/167.28 CFM and 17-34 dB of noise (depending on the model).

Both coolers employ a ceramic pump (70x85.6x31.5 mm), estimated for 120.000 hours of fail-proof operation & running at 2400 RPM. The pump features a copper base with micro-channels, connected with solid rubber hoses and an aluminum heatsink. The new-comers are linked to the system by means of 4-pin connectors.
