MSI Outs ECO Motherboards for Socket LGA1151

Launched first in 2014, ECO lineup of motherboards from MSI has recently been replenished by a triplet of models for socket LGA1151. The new-comers boast a wide range of power-efficient facilities as well as an optimal performance level. Thus, the users will enjoy the most advanced technologies without sacrificing performance. All three mainboards are developed in micro-ATX form-factor and employ Military Class 4 hardware base, although their other specifications differ.

MSI H170M ECO is designed on Intel H170 chipset, ready to accept Intel Core i3/i5/i7, Pentium & Celeron CPUs for socket LGA1151. The PCB accommodates two DIMM slots for the installation of DDR4-2133 MHz memory modules (up to 32 GB capacity). A New Series of Haswell-Based Gigabyte Brix Mini-PCs

The appearance of Brix mini-PCs last spring was Gigabyte’s debut in this market segment. The first products were elaborated specifically for Intel Ivy Bridge processors. However, the company decided to update the line of ultra-compact PCs with four new models. Entitled GB-BXCE-2955, GB-BXi7-4500, GB-BXi5-4200, and GB-BXi3-4010, the products are characterized by the support of power-efficient Intel Haswell CPUs.

The most efficient model is Gigabyte GB-BXi7-4500 with the integrated Intel Core i7-4500U processor (1.8/3.0 GHz), whereas the least efficient turns to be Gigabyte GB-BXCE-2955, based on Intel Celeron 2955U (1.4 GHz). At the same time, Gigabyte GB-BXi5-4200 is equipped with Intel Core i5-4200U CPU (1.6/2.6 GHz) and Gigabyte GB-BXi3-4010 comes with Intel Corei3-4010U solution (1.7 GHz).

WD came out with a new enterprise-class storage, entitled My Cloud EX2 Ultra. The model is intended for the installation of two HDDs with the maximal capacity of 12 TB. WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra is based on 1.3-GHz CPU accompanied by 1 GB DDR3. The pair ensures the realization of fast data transferring as well as smooth video streaming.
