Meet New Motherboard from Biostar: Hi-Fi Z87W

Biostar is ready to launch its newest motherboard that is notable for the support of Windows 8.1 OS platform and availability of Windows Hardware Quality Labs certificate. Entitled Biostar Hi-Fi Z87W, it features a standard ATX form-factor and is relied on Intel Z87 Express chipset. Thereby, the board is ready to accommodate LGA1150 Intel Core processors (Haswell architecture).



The motherboard houses four slots for the installation of DDR3 memory modules that run at the maximal 2600 MHz (up to 32 GB). Power subsystem is organized according to 8-phase scheme to provide enough power to the CPU and other key components. Expansion facilities are secured by means of two PCI slots, the same number of PCI-e 2.0 x1 slots, one PCI-e 2.0 x16, and one more PCI-e 3.0 x16 slot. Iiyama to Release Hi-End GB2488HSU Gaming Monitor

Iiyama Corp., a well-known Japanese visual solutions developer, is going to release a new 24-inch PC monitor from ProLite series. Entitled ProLite GB2488HSU, it features Full HD resolution and is targeting inveterate gamers. The model will be available in the European market already in mid-March for the recommended price tag of €319. In order to certify the product’s high standards and reliability, the manufacturer backs it with 3-year’s limited warranty.



Iiyama ProLite GB2488HSU is based on TN panel with LED backlight. It features a sleek design with a black glossy display case and sharp edges. The new-comer supports 144 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time in G-t-G environment. Palit to Release a Pair of GTX 1060 Video Cards

Palit is enlarging its lineup of GeForce GTX 1060 adapters with a pair of new models. The GTX 1060 Dual 3GB and the GTX 1060 StormX 3G are developed on Nvidia GP106-300 GPUs (16 FinFet), featuring 1152 CUDA cores, 72 TMUs & 48 ROPs. It runs at 1506/1708 MHz frequency (standard/dynamic). Both models are accompanied by 3 GB of GDDR5 memory (192-bit bus) that operates at 2000/8000 MHz frequency (standard/efficient).



The key differentiation between the models lies in the cooling system. Palit GeForce GTX 1060 StormX 3G is equipped with a single fan, replenished with a main heatsink and an additional one, housed on the power circuit.
