Xigmatek Outs Midgard III Case with Wireless Charger Dock

Xigmatek, a renowned Taiwanese designer of prime-class PC hardware, has launched a follower of the well-known Midgard case series – the Midgard III. It features 409(d)x515(h)x260(w) mm dimensions, always ready to accommodate mini-ITX, micro-ATX, and standard ATX motherboards. The case has got a sleek stern design, though is peculiar by the availability of a unique wireless charger station (Qi standard), leaving all competitors way behind (in terms of connectivity).



Xigmatek Midgard III comes with three external 5.25-inch bays, eight internal 3.5/2.5-inch bays, and seven expansion slots for add-ons. The framework is predestined to accommodate standard ATX/EPS power supply units, CPU coolers of 160 mm in height, graphics cards of 330 mm in length, and heatsinks of 300x50 mm dimensional type. Intel Broadwell CPUs will Get BGA Casing

The Internet community is energetically discussing unofficial info concerning the future Intel's Broadwell processors. According to the yet unacknowledged data, Intel will branch off from currently traditional LGA casings in favor to a more advanced BGA solution. At present all CPUs designed by Intel specifically for desktop platforms feature LGA (Land Grid Array) casings which allow the users to upgrade their systems without any hassle. SilverStone introduced a modular power supply Strider ST45SF-G form factor SFX

Power Supplies form factor SFX are usually positioned as solutions for office and HTPC systems, that is why its design is often monotonous. In this regard, a new block of SilverStone Strider ST45SF-G stands out from the competition with detachable cables in a nylon sheath and colored in black casing.



Despite its compact dimensions (125x100x63, 5 mm), power supply produces up to 450 watts of constant power at an efficiency of 88% to 92% in the networks of 230 V. It is noteworthy that the kit includes an adapter to install Strider ST45SF-G in the chassis type Mid-Tower (ATX).


Cooling of PSU is provided by 80-mm fan with support for automatic speed control. In addition, the unit has active PFC, single cable PCI-E Power on (6 +2) and two contacts at the 6-pin. Allowed not more than three per cent of deviation from the standard voltage of +12 V, +5 V and +3.3 V.
