QNAP to Come up with TS-x51 NAS Series

QNAP, a well-known designer of network and CCTV monitoring solutions, is glad to come up with a new series of NAS devices – the TS-x51. The series is currently introduced by two models with two and four drive sections. They are intended to operate under the base of Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server 2012, VMware VSphere, Citrix XENServer platforms. Both new-comers are housed in stylish white enclosures that match either home or corporate environment.

The TS-x51 storages are based on Intel processor with 2.4GHz clock frequency. It is accompanied by 1 GB RAM (DDR3L), 7.1-channel audio controller, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac adapter via an independent USB key. These NAS support the installation of SSD/HDD/SSHD drives of 3.5-inch form-factor with SATA III 6 Gb/sec interface. The frontal panel accommodates activity indicators, Power and Reset buttons, as well as a single USB 3.0 port.

Evga Launches One More Overclocked Graphics Card

Evga, a leading American supplier of 3D cards, is going to launch one more graphics card with factory overclocked speeds. A new model is based on Nvidia FeForce GTX 670 adapter and codenamed as Evga GeForce GTX 670 FTW LE. Its design resembles the one implemented in GeForce GTX 670 FTW card, but the main distinction between them is seen in frequency showings. The newbie demonstrates a bit lower frequency index than its predecessor.

Evga GeForce GTX 670 FTW LE is housed on a PCB designed for PCI-e 3.0 x16 bus. This card takes GK104 graphics core with 1344 CUDA cores as the basis; it is developed on Kepler architecture under 28 nm standards. Its inventory also embraces 2GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit interface). Cooling system is introduced by a 2-slot cooler of active type with a single turbine-like fan. Power subsystem consists of two connection 6-pin sockets and requires a quite efficient PSU (not less than 500W power).

ECS Develops Haswell-Compatible Motherboard Z87H3-A2X Extreme

At the cusp of an official release of Intel’s fourth generation processors each hardware designer tries to elaborate new Haswell-compatible components. Motherboard manufacturers are probably the ones to introduce the lion’s share of such products. ECS is not an exception. According to the data provided by a reputable source, ECS is soon going to release its newest prime-class board codenamed Z87H3-A2X Extreme. The first meeting with the new-comer is planned within the boundaries of Computex 2013 exhibition taking place in June.

As seen from the codename, ECS Z87H3-A2X Extreme is based on Intel Z87 Express chipset covered by a black-and-red heatsink. The model employs full-sized printed circuit board, Socket LGA1150, and 12-phase VRM for CPU power supply with gold-plate solid-state capacitors. Power subsystem elements are cooled down by a voluminous CoolTech V heatsink. This heatsink is connected with a chipset one by means of a nickel-plated copper heat pipe.
