MSI AM1I: Motherboard with Military Class 4 Hardware Base

MSI is one of the first manufacturers to introduce a motherboard for the newly launched AMD AM1 platform. The MSI AM1I features rather compact dimensions (170x170 mm) but its mini-ITX form-factor does not affect the specified functional possibilities for entry-level systems. The model supports AMD Athlon/Sempron processors for the above-mentioned socket.



The employment of Military Class 4 hardware base is supposed to be a major advantage of AM1I motherboard. It involves dark chokes, dark capacitors and other crucial components, which are backed by Military Class Essentials technology. The latter is called to protect the PCB from varied unfavorable happenings, i.e. high humidity, electrostatic discharge or high temperatures.

Buffalo Announces HD-PCFU3-C Wearables

Buffalo Technology is about to release its newest line of wearable hard drives. Codenamed HD-PCFU3-C, the products will be available in three capacity versions: 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB. All of them allow as pure black so pure white exterior design. The models will be backed by 1 year limited warranty.



The Buffalo HD-PCFU3-C external HDs are housed in solid aluminum cases and equipped with a high-speed USB 3.0 interface. The latter might be used both for data transfer as well as charge-in purposes; put it otherwise, the user will be saved from the necessity to buy an additional AC adaptor.


Pricewise, the cheapest solutions are 500 GB HD-PCF500U3-BC and HD-PCF500U3-WC with the price tag of $90. The HD-PCF1.0U3-BWC and HD-PCF1.0U3-BBC of 1 TB capacity will cost about $110, whereas their senior companions, the PCF2.0U3-GBC and HD-PCF2.0U3-GWC of 2 TB capacity, will go as high as $165. Flash-Drives from SanDisk at IFA 2012

IFA 2012 is confidently picking up speed, allowing dozens of companies to introduce their creations. SanDisk came to the electronics exhibition with a handful of advanced devices, among which are upcoming flash-drive releases. SanDisk tech bench highlighted a couple of flash-drives with expressive codenames: Cruzer Edge and Cruzer Pop. It should be mentioned that both drives have already been announced by the company earlier this year, but now they are given the most prominence.



Cruzer Pop model is primarily oriented at non-corporate clients who will be glad to choose a flash-drive of bright color. The company delivers the model in several color gamuts and volume capacities (4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB). Cruzer Pop has got camp bed like framework and features 45x18x3.8 mm dimensions.
