MSI Shared the First Shot of Z170A Gaming Pro Mainboard

First displayed at Computex 2015, the Z170A Gaming Pro motherboard from MSI is now available for the web community. The company teases the first shot of the extended ATX model, showing off its main privileges. The new-comer is based on Intel Z170 chipset, intended for Socket LGA 1151-compatible Intel Skylake CPUs. Its key visual attraction is the availability of a stripe with RGB illumination on the right side. The stripe supports 8 working modes and is able to display up to 16.5 million colors.

MSI Z170A Gaming Pro comes equipped with 4x DIMM slots for the integration of DDR4-3300 MHz memory modules (maximum capacity – 64 GB). Storage subsystem is introduced by four SATA 6 Gb/sec ports and a single SATA Express port (compatible with two SATA 6 Gb/sec ports). ViewSonic to Release VX57 Series of Affordable Monitors

ViewSonic reports about the release of a new series of affordable monitors – the VX57. The lineup entails a 22.-inch VX2257-mhd, a 24-inch VX2457-mhd and a 27-inch VX2757-mhd item. Each of the models is based on Full HD TN panel (1920x1080) with 170/160 viewing angles and superfast response time – 1.2 ms. Static/dynamic contrast index makes up 1000:1/80M:1. Therefore, the new-comers are appropriate for entertainment purposes (gaming, multimedia).

The integrated panel ensures the maximal brightness of 250-300 cd/m2, 24-84 kHz & 47-75 kHz of horizontal/vertical refresh rate. The displays are furnished with a pair of 2-watt speakers as well as a set of video interfaces: a pair of audio ports, 1x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort and 1x D-Sub. Next year TSMC will start manufacturing the first 20nm chips

The Taiwanese company TSMC confirmed its intention to start production of chips using 20 nm technological processes in 2013. However, for now the company does not plan its production on an industrial scale and will release the first chips in a limited quantities, giving them a total of 1% of production capacity. According to the head of the company, the mass production of semiconductor chips with this technology will not begin until 2014.

Meanwhile TSMC Company is going to produce only one version of the chip, which will be able to enter into the wide range of devices, from smart phones with low-power to high-performance graphics cards. For comparison, the Taiwanese company currently has four different output chips on 28-nm technology.
