Official Presentation of AMD G-T16R for Embedded Systems

AMD has replenished its product line with a new hybrid processor with appreciably low power consumption. G-T16R belongs to the Embedded G-Series line and is a part of AMD Brazos 2.0 platform. This APU is primarily destined for the embedded systems employment. AMD representatives stress out that G-T16R is an appropriate solution to be used in transport equipment, trade and cash desk stations, medical electronics, as well as in industrial administrative systems.

The company has managed to design its hybrid processor in a way to make it more saving than any other product of the same line. Thus, the average power consumption level equals to 2.3 W with Thermal Design Profile (TDP) of 4.5 W. Despite such low-power index, G-T16R is able to secure high performance showings which exceed the showings of the predecessor Geode LX three times as much. To continue the comparison, the new model consumes 7% less power than Geode LX but, at the same time, takes 58% less space on the motherboard …

AOC Takes Pride in a Curved C3583FQ Monitor

AOC is about to release a quite extraordinary monitor – the C3583FQ. This 35-inch curved model can’t boast high resolution index (2560x1080), although it is sure to provide the best image quality without the necessity to pair it with the top-tier graphics card. Relatively big size does not allow for many adjustments; yet, it’s possible to change the slope angle.

AOC C3583FQ is based on AMVA panel with WLED backlight. It ensures the best-in-class specifications: 2000:1 – static contrast, maximal brightness – 300 cd/m2, viewing angles – 178/178 degrees, refresh rate – 48-146 Hz, response time – 5 ms. The radius of curvature does not prevent the full-scale displaying of the developments.

The monitor comes equipped with a pair of 5 W speakers, a pair of 3.5-mm audio ports and five video ports: one DVI, two DisplayPort 1.2+, two HDMI 1.4 with MHL support. The rear panel features VESA bracket to facilitate with wall mounting options. In addition, the new-comer …

KFA2 Introduces Shortcut GTX 960 OC 2 GB Video Card

KFA2 comes out to the European market with a shortcut version of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 960 adapter. The GTX 960 OC 2GB features 193x124.3x41.5 mm dimensions, compatible with small-sized PC cases (mini-ITX form-factor). Despite an unusual design, the model offers five video outputs: three DisplayPort, one DVI-I and one HDMI 2.0. The new-comer will be available from retailers at 199 EUR price tag.

KFA2 GTX 960 OC 2GB is based on GM206 GPU with 1280 stream processors, 10 SMM, and 64 ROPs. It operates at heightened clock frequencies – 1165 MHz (nominal) and 1228 MHz (dynamic). The core is supported by 2 GB of GDDR5 memory (128-bit bus) that runs at the reference 7010 MHz clock frequency. Power supply is organized by means of a 6-pin connector.

As for cooling system, it is represented by three copper heatpipes and a pair of low-noise fans. It should be noted that in standby mode the cooler totally switches off the fans in order to minimize the noise level.
