Huntkey Showcases Its New PSU Series

A new PSU series, codenamed GS (Green Star), has replenished a line of products designed by Huntkey. This series is particularly targeting gamers, providing for the prime facilities and reliability. The models included into the lineup (GS550 and GS450) are equipped with two +12V buses and exclusively high-quality components that promote for the 82% PSU efficiency level. Both models house a 120 mm low-noise fan which is notable by the variable rotational speed.



Upon the whole, Huntkey GS series corresponds to ATX12V V2.3 standard and supports AMD and Intel CPUs. Both models are compatible with graphics adapters designed by Nvidia and AMD. They feature Active PFC which ensures true reliability on different loading conditions. The average time period of foolproof work is estimated at fifty thousand hours. Besides, both units have undergone two types of testing: high voltage and forced failure tests.

Its PDF-version has recently appeared online and immediately called attention of all interested parties. The most unexpected news concerned the long-awaited Steamroller micro-architecture. According to AMD, the debut of an advanced architecture will be accomplished in the current year, not in 2014 as it was informed earlier. Steamroller will be incorporated into an updated series of AMD Opteron server processors which are to ensure an improved efficiency level on parallel data processing operations.


The other promising piece of news touches upon the launch of a new APU series already this year: AMD Kabini and AMD Temash. Kabini is going to replace Brazos platform employed in small-sized multimedia systems and other hand portable solutions. Deepcool Unveils Plans for Quanta DQ Power Supply Units

Deepcool Industries Co. Ltd., is about to launch a couple of new power supply units, codenamed Quanta DQ1000 and Quanta DQ1250. Both models feature 150x200x86 mm dimensions and come with a semi-modular design (24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS cables are non-detachable). As seen from the codenames, they offer 1000 W and 1250 W power that is quite enough to energize the most demanding gaming systems.



PSU Deepcool Quanta DQ1000 might boast the availability of 80 Plus Gold certificate, due to 92% efficiency level. This unit comes with a single +12V rail, which produces up to 999 W power at 83.3 A current. In its turn, Quanta DQ1250 has got 80 Plus Platinum certificate, since it is able to demonstrate up to 94% efficiency at the highest loading. Unlike its companion, this model houses two +12V rails with 45 A and 65 A current for both.
