Budgetary Chassis NZXT Tempest 210 Review

Product line of NZXT, an American hardware developer and supplier, is basically targeted at gamers and enthusiasts. Its chassis and power supply units prove to demonstrate highly-efficient characteristics and, in some terms, outstanding performance. Still, the company expands its customer audience by developing products for middle-end and entry-level consumer groups. Its latest chassis model Tempest 210 belongs exactly to the budgetary sector due to the reasonable correlation: quality – price. Being an entry-level product, NZXT Tempest 210 is ready to offer quite satisfactory facilities and performance.

Design of NZXT Tempest 210 chassis can be called classical. This is confirmed by all straight lines and standard framework. Grid-like frontal panel is the only distinguishing feature of the model. Three New PC Cases from Lian Li for mini-ITX Motherboards

Lian Li has recently introduced three new PC chassis compatible with the motherboards of mini-ITX standard. Codenamed PC-Q27, PC-Q28 and PC-Q30, these cases replenished the 'Q' series and are called to replace more out-dated predecessors. The first two models in the row replace the earlier launched PC-Q07 and PC-Q25, while PC-Q30 is only a prototype that substantially differs from from its companions.

All three models are distinguished by a quite new approach to the motherboard fixture. Hence, instead of traditional trays, Lian Li employs two rails that fix the board. What is more, the designer has implemented quite a different system of side panels mounting.

The first PC case, PC-Q27, features 200x321x240 mm dimensions and is estimated for the installation of a single 5.25-inch drive, two 3.5-inch bays that support the installation of drives of 2.5-inch form-factor. The integrated cooling system consists of a single frontal 120 mm fan.

The second model, PC-Q28, is …

New Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 operates at a frequency of 1100 MHz

Gigabyte presented a new overclocking model of video card Tahiti XT, designated as GV-R797TO-3GD. In comparison to the current Radeon HD 7970 OC (GV-797OC-3GD), the newcomer has some advantages. In particular, it is known that the graphic adapter is based on the graphics chip Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition that is selected. The clock frequency of the accelerator is increased from 1000/5500 MHz (core / memory) to the 1100/6000 MHz, comparing GV-797OC-3GD. Standard values, recall — 925 MHz GPU with chip and 5500 MHz with GDDR5 microchip.

Externally the video adapter has no changes: the PCB soldered 3 GB of memory, which combines with the GPU on a 384-bit brace. The number of stream processors is unchanged — 2048 units. The design of printed circuit board includes electrical components Ultra Durable VGA. High-effective WindForce 3X cooler consists of a copper base, a few copper heat pipes and three 80-mm fans.

Unlike its predecessor, Gigabyte GV-R797TO-3GD has a gold plated …
