D.F. Storm, a New Fan by Enermax, Offers 3,500 rpm Rotary Speed and Features the DFR Tech

The Enermax manufacturer launches its new product – the 120 mm D.F. Storm, which got its name due to high rotary speed (3,500 rpm in the most powerful Turbo mode, 2,800 rpm in the Overclocking mode and 2,200 rpm in the Performance mode). Due to the presence of an APS switch one can regulate speed without efforts; and the LED detector indicates the speed mode chosen. The novelty features the 263 m³ air flow at the 38 dBA noise level, the 11.131 (mm-H2O) static pressure, as well as pulse width modulation.

The MTBF figure claimed equals to 160,000 hours. Heat-stable components of high quality substantially contribute to this factor. The blades are constructed in a particular way to ensure high productivity under severe conditions. The DFR technology applied diminishes dust volume and extends the fan smooth operation term.

Regarding the specs, one may conclude, that D.F. Storm mostly fits for industrial sphere or gaming systems. This Enermax fan will be available on sale in …

HDD Western Digital VelociRaptor WD1000DHTZ Review

Western Digital started the winning of HDD market almost ten years ago. Since that time the company has managed to dramatically improve its manufacturing process and achieve the desirable heights. Its latest HDD solution, codenamed VelociRaptor WD1000DHTZ, deserves special attention thanks to its performance showings and low operational temperatures.

General Peculiarities

Flagship HDD VelociRaptor WD1000DHTZ goes in 1TB volume capacity and is destined for the employment primarily in workstations. It combines high performance along with reliability to become an efficient solution for professional office needs, compact servers, high-end workstations, rendering processes, and for the management of graphics content of high resolution. Upon the whole, this model stands somewhere between the entry level SSDs and winchesters of 3.5 inch form-factor.

Additionally, Western Digital delivers modifications of VelociRaptor which go in more modest capacities (250 GB and 500 GB). …

Welcome Specialties by PowerColor – AXRX 580 4GBD5-3DHDV2/OC and AXRX 580 8GBD5-3DHDV2/OC Graphics Cards

PowerColor continues to broaden its video cards range and releases two novelties of the Radeon RX 580 line – Red Dragon V2 OC of the 4 and 8 GB memory capacity. Codenames of these devices are AXRX 580 4GBD5-3DHDV2/OC and AXRX 580 8GBD5-3DHDV2/OC.

Frequency rates of 4 GB and 8 GB Radeon RX 580 Red Dragon V2 OC differ. The sample with 4 GB GDDR5 features the 1,350/1,750 (7,000) MHz (core/memory) values, and the model with 8 GB buffer VRAM operates at 1,350/2,000 (8,000) MHz. The factory core clock equals to 10 MHz, however, practically the difference may be greater owing to dynamic overclocking technology peculiarities of the PowerColor cards and the reference Radeon RX 580 sample. The manufacturer has not overclocked memory chipsets.

The Red Dragon V2 OC cooling system is designed with at least one copper nickel-plated heat pipe, an aluminium plates array and two 80 mm fans. PowerColor AXRX 580 4GBD5-3DHDV2/OC and AXRX 580 8GBD5-3DHDV2/OC are approximately 25 cm long and …
