Thermaltake Unveils Chaser A71 Full-Tower PC Chassis

Thermaltake has lately made an official presentation of a new full-tower chassis, entitled Chaser A71. The model features 565x205x537 mm dimensions and a rather stylish design. Its side panel contains an L-shape acrylic window that makes an exposure of all internal components. Moreover, the two out of four pre-installed fans are furnished with a bright blue LED that enigmatically illuminates the framework.



Being a full-tower solution, Chaser A71 is housed in a quite spacious case. It gladly welcomes ATX, mATX and Extended ATX motherboards, eight expansion cards of up to 344 mm in length, six hard drives or solid-state drives, three optical drives, a heatsink (of a liquid-cooling system) up to 240 mm, and a compatible power supply unit. The maximal supported CPU cooler height should not exceed 160 mm.

Thecus Company introduced a new naming scheme for products

Company Thecus decided to introduce a new naming scheme for its drives, so that users can easily understand its product line. New names will have all future models.



In the name with length of five to seven characters will be encoded some information about the device. The first letter indicates the type of device: N — NAS running Linux, D — DAS, W — NAS running Windows, V — NVR. This is followed by a two-digit number indicating the number of disks (compartments for storage) in the system. If this amount is less than 10, the first zero is omitted. Fourth and fifth digit is coded by the hardware platform used. For example, 21 — Cavium Econa, 31 — Marvell Armada, 51 — Intel Atom Cedarview, 52 — Intel EvanSport, 53 — Intel Atom third-generation, 81 — Sandy Bridge, 82 — Ivy Bridge, 83 — Other Platforms future generations. The EK-FB MSI Z270 Gaming Monoblock RGB Water Unit Is Compatible With Low-Capacity Pumps

The Slovenian EK Water Blocks Company has produced the EK-FB MSI Z270 Gaming Monoblock RGB water unit, designed to serve with a range of Z270 chipset based MSI motherboards. Specifically, the list includes the MSI Z270 Tomahawk, MSI Z270 Tomahawk Arctic MSI Z270, Gaming Pro, MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon, MSI Z270 SLI, MSI Z270 SLI Plus, as well as MSI Z270 Krait Gaming models.



The water block draws off heat from the LGA-1151 processor and from effective power subsystem voltage controllers. The device is supplied with a LED strip, optimized for a 4-pin connector on a system board or an external controller. This strip can be removed or replaced by a new one.


The nickel-plated water block base is made out of copper, and the transparent lid — out of acrylic plastic. The Low Hydrodynamic Resistance of the unit allows to utilize it with low-capacity pumps.
