Qualcomm to Enter Into Contract with GlobalFoundries

Qualcomm, a world-known provider of chips for mobile gadgets, has entered into a contract with GlobalFoundries company with the intention to develop chips based on 28 nm technology. Such information has been voiced by an authoritative Chinese publication Commercial Times, referring to the reliable sources. It is presupposed that the manufacturer will start the first dispatches for Qualcomm in the end of this year. The previously voiced data claimed that Qualcomm had arranged orders of 28 nm chips from UMC with the similar dispatch dates.



The estimated reason for the cooperation with GlobalFoundries is the insufficient delivery of 28 nm chips by TSMC. Moreover, Nvidia is supposedly targeting at the cooperation with one more manufacturer except for the TSMC as well. Meet New Frameless U2717D Monitor from Dell

Taking into account an ascending popularity of WQHD displays, Dell decided to expand its portfolio by a new high-resolution monitor – the UltraSharp U2717D. The model is based on 27-inch IPS panel with the top brightness index (350 cd/m2). It is also notable for the widest viewing angles (178/178 degrees) and a relatively fast response time (6 ms). Dell UltraSharp U2717D features 2560x1440 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio and 1000:1 contrast index. It promises the coverage of 99% RGB environment as well as the highest color rendering (DeltaE <2).

SilverStone Announces Precision PS13 Chassis

SilverStone has added to its inventory a straightforward-styled mid-tower chassis. Entitled Precision PS13, the new-comer features 426x400x126 mm dimensions and weighs 3.36 kg. It is targeting micro-ATX/ATX motherboards with the maximum of 7 expansion slots. The all-black frontal panel houses a large fine-meshed grille that optimizes airflow within the case.
