Enermax Platimax D.F. PSUs Hit the Market

Enermax launches a couple of platinum power supply units, earlier unveiled at the CeBIT 2016. The Platimax D.F. model is available in two versions – 500 W & 600 W – which boast 80Plus Platinum certificate thanks to 93% efficiency index. They are able to operate within 100-240 V voltage range at 10 A input. Featuring 150x160x86 mm dimensions, both PSUs can fit in any PC case.



Enermax Platimax D.F. units are furnished with a single +12V rail, estimated for 492/600 W power. At the same time the output power of +3.3 V & +5 V rails makes up 103 W. The hardware base includes high-quality Japanese capacitors as well as low-voltage DC-DC converters.


Cooling is secured by a single 139-mm fan based on Twister Bearing; it is thought to operate up to 160 thousand hours. The fan supports Dust Free Rotation technology that enables reverse rotation during the first 10 seconds.

Samsung Electronics Is Going to Launch Two Curved VA Monitors – C27H711 and C32H711

The South Korean Samsung Electronics Corporation has announced the forthcoming retail of its curved VA CH711 monitors.



The displays under the C27H711 and C32H711 codenames differ in size (26.9” and 31.5” respectively), however, possess much in common. Both products feature a 2560 x 1440 (WQHD) resolution, 178°/178° viewing angles (horizontal and vertical), a 1800R curvature, 8-bit colour support, a 3000:1 static contrast ratio, as well as the 300 cd/m² brightness. The response time of displays is 4 ms (grey to grey), and the refresh rate is 60 Hz. The AMD FreeSync tech applied allows increasing this value up to 72 Hz.
