Evga Teases GTX 980 Ti Classified ACX 2.0+ Graphics Card

Evga, one of the leaders in the US market of enthusiast graphics solutions, bedazzled its fans with another videocard, based on GeForce GTX 980 Ti GPU. The GeForce GTX 980 Ti Classified ACX 2.0+ features 150.88x279.4 mm + dual-slot width dimensions. For a better efficiency, it requires a rather mighty PSU (not less than 600 W); the connection to the power supply is organized via two 8-pin PCI Express connectors.

Evga GTX 980 Ti Classified ACX 2.0+ is differentiated by an enforced power supply subsystem that consists of 14+3 phases. The list of other peculiarities includes the availability of dual VGA BIOS chips and the integration of an advanced ACX 2.0+ cooler. It boasts a copper nickel-plated base, a pair of independent heatsink sections (63 + 54 aluminum fins), four 8 mm heatpipes, one 6 mm heatpipe, and a couple of fans. LG Introduces Cinema 4K 31MU97 PC Monitor

Graphic designers, photo editors and fans of prime-quality imaging are now pleased by the future release of a new professional PC monitor from LG, codenamed 31MU97. The model belongs to Cinema 4K generation, providing for the best viewing/work experience. It is based on 31-inch IPS panel with 17:9 aspect ratio and features an industry-leading Digital Cinema 4K 4096x2160 pixels resolution. The release date will be announced shortly.

LG 31MU97 boasts 97% color gamut in DCI-P3 environment and up to 99.5% gamut in Adobe RGB environment. In order to cover the most colors, the display employs 10-bit presentation. Intel Thunderbolt Ready Facilitates in Upgrading Your Desktop PC

Last week Intel announced a new instrumentality for upgrading desktop PC, called Thunderbolt Ready. This tool will help in incorporating Thunderbolt interface into the motherboards which initially do not have the support for it. However, only the motherboards with ‘Thunderbolt Ready’ marking and an inbuilt General-purpose I/O (GPIO) socket might fall under the upgrade. In addition to this feature, the user will have to acquire a dedicated card to enable the interface.

This card is installed into an appropriate PCI Express slot and is then connected to GPIO, as well as DisplayPort socket of the integrated/discrete GPU controller, due to the cables that go in batch. After this, the customer needs to upload dedicated software in order to activate the Thunderbolt.
