Three New Nettop Models of NanoPC Series from Foxconn

Foxconn Electronics introduces three new nettops which replenish NanoPC 7000 series. All three, NanoPC AT-7300, NanoPC AT-7500 and NanoPC AT-7700, are claimed to be practically noiseless due to the improved integration and layout base. As scheduled by Foxconn, all the models will become available in March 2013 and will be priced at $390, $480, $600 correspondingly.

These nettops are based on Intel Ivy Bridge platform but are equipped with a bit different CPUs. Thus, NanoPC AT-7300 model accommodates Intel Core i3-3217U processor that operates at 1.8GHz clock frequency; NanoPC AT-7500 model houses Intel Core i5-3317U processor with 1.7GHz clock frequency; NanoPC AT-7700 takes Intel Core i7-3517U processor with 1.9Ghz frequency as the basis.

The integrated motherboard complies with a mobile chipset Intel HM76 Express and features Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics core. Internal layout of all nettops presupposes the installation of 16GB DDR3 RAM and of additional HDD/SSD drive …

Acer Unleashes New Aspire All-in-One PCs

Promoted at Computex 2012 global technical exhibition, Acer Aspire 5600U and 7600U PCs have finally been launched. The models supplemented the series of Acer's all-in-one solutions and offered a number of unmatched opportunities for customers. Among others, Aspire 5600U and Aspire 7600U computers are distinguished by an adjustable stand that doesn't have any mind-bending gismos. One should take into account that the newly launched products feature both similar and dissimilar characteristics.

First of all, these all-in-one PCs operate under the instruction of Windows 8 platform. They are equipped with 8GB DRAM of DDR3 type, hard drive of 1TB volume capacity, an integrated card reader, and a couple of USB 3.0 ports. Network facilities are realized via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules.

Secondly, both PCs have got quite different internal layout. Aspire 5600U is considered to be a more affordable solution based on up to Intel Core-i5 3110M version CPU (third generation of Ivy …

AMD Outs the World’s First Server FirePro S9300 x2 GPU

AMD has proudly announced the release of the world’s first server-grade graphics accelerator. Entitled FirePro S9300 x2, this GPU is called to facilitate in solving complex computing tasks and take graphics to the next level. The card is linked to the power unit by means of two 8-pin connectors, consuming up to 300 W power at most.

The heart of AMD FirePro S9300 x2 is a bundle of two AMD Fiji GPUs (GCN architecture). They feature a pair of 4096 stream processors and run at 850 MHz frequency. Each GPU employs 4 GB of HBM memory that operates at 1000 MHz clock frequency and offers 512 Gb/sec bandwidth.

The integration of two processing aggregates allows the accelerator to achieve some amazing 13.9 TFLOPS of computing power. As a result, the model exceeds in performance its nearest competitors: Nvidia Tesla K80 with 5.6 TFLOPS as well as Nvidia Tesla M60 with 7.4 TFLOPS.

The support for AMD GPUOpen stack is supposed to be the card’s key advantage. This stack enables …
