Arctic to Release Coolers Specifically for Nvidia Graphics Cards

Arctic Cooling AG is going to release a new air cooling system destined particularly for Nvidia GeForce GTX 690 graphics solutions. Codenamed Accelero Twin Turbo 690, this new cooler is differentiated by better efficiency and practically imperceptible noise level. This model features 288x138x50 mm and weighs 805 g. The nominal delivery set of Accelero Twin Turbo 690 includes fixture kit, brand thermal compound Arctic MX-4, and thermal padding.

New cooling system consists of aluminum base with two copper sills, ten copper heat pipes (6 mm each in depth), a couple of 120 mm fans, and two-section aluminum radiator that contains eighty-six plates. Fans are developed on hydrodynamic bearing and can be monitored by a special facility; rotational speed can be automatically altered by means of pulse width modulation and fluctuate within the measures of 400 rpm to 1500 rpm.

Intel Claims Its Clover Trail More Efficient than Tegra 3

The stonewall in the tablet and mobile CPU segment is gradually mounting, with Intel and Nvidia increasing their influence and rivalry. Hence, Intel's developers claim that its latest tablet processor, two-core Atom Clover Trail, surpasses Nvidia's Tegra 3 in both performance and power consumption. To be precise, Clover Trail proves to be more efficient in a range of applications, but at the same time, it consumes power twice less than its counterpart. To exemplify such claims, Intel takes Imagination Technologies graphics that consumes less power than Tegra 3.
