Greeting Asus ROG Ares III Graphics Card with Double GPU Performance

Republic of Gamers devotees have been pleased with yet another addition to Ares series of graphics cards – the Asus ROG Ares III. It is a new powerful model based on two AMD Radeon R9 290X (Hawaii XT) GPUs, each of which cooperates with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory. At its core, this is a modified version of AMD Radeon R9 295X2 videocard, although with some perceptible changes. Potential customers will receive AMD Radeon Gold Reward warrant and a flash-memory card (8 GB) as an additional bonus. It’s worth of acquiring, isn’t it?

Asus ROG Ares III operates at heightened clock frequencies – 1030 MHz – if compared with Radeon R9 295X2 model that runs at 1018 MHz. Each memory module with 512-bit interface runs at 1250 MHz (nominal) frequency, but is able to accelerate up to 5.0 GHz (effective) index. The new-comer employs 16-phase power supply subsystem (Asus Digi+ VRM) that accommodates high-quality components Asus Super Alloy Power, i.e. Japanese solid-state capacitors from …

MSI Releases an Affordable Motherboard of Micro-ATX Form-Factor

Right after the release of FM2-A75MA-P33 motherboard, MSI has taken a decision to design one more model for AMD Trinity platform. Codenamed MSI FM2-A85XMA-E35, a new model is based on a more efficient chipset – AMD A85X. This motherboard is a typical representative of entry-level solutions, though can boast a number of attractive facilities.

MSI FM2-A85XMA-E35 is developed in micro-ATX form-factor for Socket FM2 CPU sockets. The model is known to support AMD A and Athlon II processors. This board accommodates two DIMM slots for the installation of DDR3 memory modules, the overall volume of which can rise up to 32GB. The supported memory operating frequencies might vary: DDR3-1066 MHz, 1333MHz, 1600 MHz, 1866 MHz, and 2133 MHz. Power subsystem features a rather unpretentious framework and consists of five phases; thus, this model isn't intended for overclocking purposes.

Expansion facilities implemented in MSI FM2-A85XMA-E35 can be found in any other entry-level …

Aerocool Intros Dead Silence System Fans

Aerocool Advanced Technologies is going to launch a new lineup of 140/120 mm system fans, entitled Dead Silence. As seen from the title, the products are distinguished by absolutely noiseless operation. However, this is not the only attraction. The lineup is introduced by bicolor models with black frames and white/blue/red/black mounting components. Four onboard LED backlight add to the fans’ aesthetic effect.

All the fans are designed on a hydrodynamic bearing that is able to run approximately 100.000 hours on end. All of them are connected to the motherboard by means of a 3-pin connector. The blades are made of two different materials (rubber and plastic), whereas their reverse side features a dedicated Fish-eye design. It provides for the minimization of turbulence. Moreover, four rubber clamps on the frame’s edges terminate the vibration and noise.

To proceed with the peculiarities, Aerocool Dead Silence fans of 120 mm dimensional type rotate at the maximal 1200 …
