IEI Releases Small-Type Motherboards Kino-CVR-D25502/N26002

IEI has replenished its line of products with a motherboard series intended for application in small-type home PCs due to the implemented mini-ITX form-factor. All previous products of this manufacturer were basically oriented on the enterprise sector, however IEI decided to widen its facilities by developing quite new motherboards for home use. The series is represented by two models: Kino-CVR-D25502 and N26002 which have got a lot of common, as well as, different parameters.

In fact, the major distinctions between the two models can be dwindled down to the implemented processors. Kino-CVR—D2550 employs two-core Intel Atom processor D2550, while N26002 model is equipped with Intel Atom 2600. The difference is seen also in clock frequencies and RAM volume capacities. D2550 is able to achieve 1.86 GHz and is notable for 4 GB RAM capacity; N2600 achieves 1.6 GHz and characterizes by only 2 GB RAM capacity.

Buffalo Announces HD-PCFU3-C Wearables

Buffalo Technology is about to release its newest line of wearable hard drives. Codenamed HD-PCFU3-C, the products will be available in three capacity versions: 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB. All of them allow as pure black so pure white exterior design. The models will be backed by 1 year limited warranty.

The Buffalo HD-PCFU3-C external HDs are housed in solid aluminum cases and equipped with a high-speed USB 3.0 interface. The latter might be used both for data transfer as well as charge-in purposes; put it otherwise, the user will be saved from the necessity to buy an additional AC adaptor.

Pricewise, the cheapest solutions are 500 GB HD-PCF500U3-BC and HD-PCF500U3-WC with the price tag of $90. The HD-PCF1.0U3-BWC and HD-PCF1.0U3-BBC of 1 TB capacity will cost about $110, whereas their senior companions, the PCF2.0U3-GBC and HD-PCF2.0U3-GWC of 2 TB capacity, will go as high as $165. Antec Outs Budgetary GX500 Chassis

Antec, a well-known designer of multiple hardware solutions, has released a new budgetary chassis, codenamed GX500. The model is developed in mid-tower form-factor and features 205x476x458 mm dimensions. It is made of solid steel but is complemented by plastic patches. The case has got a totally black coating and minimum accessories. The customers are able to acquire the product for the recommended price tag of EUR 59.

Antec GX500 supports the integration of standard ATX, as well as detracted mini-ITX and micro-ATX motherboards. The internal layout is ready to accommodate two 5.25-inch drives, five 2.5/3.5-inch drives, and seven PCI expansion cards. Storage might be enlarged due to the availability of one more external 3.5-inch drive bay.
