The Switchover to Nvidia GeForce GTX 760

Nvidia has officially introduced one more graphics adapter from 700 series: GeForce GTX 760. As it was expected earlier, the card is based on GK104 graphics chip (on Kepler architecture) with 1152 CUDA cores, 32 ROPs and 96 TMUs. Its nominal clock frequency makes up 980 MHz, still this index might be overclocked at average to 1033 MHz.

Reference adapter is furnished with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory that employs 256-bit interface. Nonetheless, Nvidia does not exclude the possibility of introducing the models with 4 GB memory capacity. The nominal memory clock frequency equals to 1502 MHz, while its overclocked frequency reaches up 6008 MHz. This adapter is thought to support GPU Boost 2.0 technology that adjusts the overclocking frequency in reliance on GPU thermal condition. Thus, the more powerful cooling system is, the higher frequencies the users might expect.

To continue, power supply subsystem is represented by a couple of 6-contact power sockets. The maximal claimed TDP …

Aerocool to Start Selling Its New PC Cases VS-92

Aerocool Advanced Technologies has introduced its new series of PC cases, codenamed VS-92. The series replenishes the PGS-V line and is attributed to a budgetary segment. The cases will be delivered in two color variations (white and black) to comply with the majority of working environments (offices or home-based gaming stations). Aerocool promises to put both models on sale already this month.

PC chassis VS-92 are designed in mid-tower form-factor, featuring 455x200x460 mm dimensions. The cases themselves are made of steel and have got a window on their side facet. Their exterior design is notable by the availability of three 5.25-inch drive bays covered by dedicated grids, two high-speed USB 3.0 ports, two conventional 3.5 mm audio ports, and LCD display connected with temperature-sensitive element.

Internal configuration is estimated for the installation of ATX and micro-ATX motherboards, CPU coolers of up to 158 mm in height, as well as graphics cards of up to 400 mm …

Sapphire Radeon RX 480 Nitro OC is Available for Preorder

Sapphire is about to launch the first modification of AMD’s graphics adapter – the Radeon RX 480. The new-comer, entitled Radeon RX 480 Nitro OC, is already available for preorder at the price tag of $322. The PCB, as well as the integrated cooling system, employs a modified design. The ‘OC’ postfix implies that the card has been overclocked to provide for a better performance.

Sapphire Radeon RX 480 Nitro OC comes equipped with AMD Polaris 10 GPU (14 nm, FinFet, GCN). It features 2304 stream processors, 32 ROPs & 144 TMUs. The presumptive GPU clock frequency might achieve 1350 MHz. At the same time, memory subsystem hasn’t been modified: 8 GB of GDDR5 are supposed to run at 2.0/8.0 GHz (base/dynamic) frequency.

The 2-slot cooling system employs a few heatpipes, a large aluminum heatsink, a stiffening plate at the reverse side, and a couple of 100-mm fans. The latter are able to operate in passive mode when GPU temperature is low. Moreover, the model boasts the …
