New X99 Gaming 5P Mainboard from Gigabyte

Good news for inveterate gamers: Gigabyte launches a new enthusiast-level motherboard, entitled X99 Gaming 5P. The E-ATX greenhorn is designed in a traditional black-and-red color gamut, accompanied with hand-picked hardware elements, including solid-state capacitors Durable Black, server-type chokes etc. Moreover, its key peculiarity is an advanced monitoring system that allows controlling basic parameters (i.e. overclocking, clock frequencies).



Gigabyte X99 Gaming 5P is developed on Intel X99 chipset, ready to house Haswell-E LGA2011-3 processors with the ultimate TDP level of 130-140 W. The VRM subsystem entails 6-phases, 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors. The model boasts eight slots for the latest DDR4-2800 MHz memory kits (up to 64 GB); there is a possibility to install RDIMM modules as well. Expansion slots include four PCI Express 3.0 x16 (with support for 4 video cards in SLI/CrossFireX configurations), three PCI Express 2.0 x1.

It Happened: the Phanteks Enthoo Elite Pre-order Is Real Now

Phanteks has worked very hard to produce its new extraordinary RGB-backlit PC case – Enthoo Elite, and nowadays it is available for pre-order at a price of £800. This Big-Tower chassis with the dimensions of 270 x 750 x 615 mm is supplied in the special shipment case and has a steel frame and 4 mm aluminium panels. The tempered glass side panel and modular structure let anyone see inner parts and customize the case to meet one’s demands.



Phanteks Enthoo Elite is able to hold an E-ATX system with a CPU cooler of up to 21 cm height, as well as graphic cards of any length. An additional Mini-ITX system can be installed. The novelty is powered by two ATX supply units or one ATX supply unit combined with the Phanteks Power Splitter.

Intel Core i7-4000 Release is Scheduled for Q3’13

Intel has just unveiled its current year release plans and made a specific focus on Intel Core i7-4000 processor series. According to Intel, the new line of products, known also as Intel Ivy Bridge-E, is going to hit the market in Q3’13. Their launch will replace the Sandy-Bridge-E series – Intel Core i7-3000. The new-comers will support Socket LGA2011 CPU sockets, as well as Intel X79 chipset. This is called to dramatically facilitate the updating process of the current systems.



The first three models to appear in the market will be Intel Core i7-4960X, Intel Core i7-4930K, and Intel Core i7-4820K. They will all be delivered with an unlocked multiplier. The first two models are known to have six physical and twelve virtual processor cores.


The nominal frequency of Intel Core i7-4960X equals to 3.6 GHz and the dynamic frequency might achieve 4.0 GHz index. This processor will be equipped with 15 MB of cache-memory. Its cost will fluctuate within the measures of $1000. …
