MMD, a licensed developer of PC monitors under Philips brand, has recently announced the release of a new high-end model: the 28-inch 284E5QHAD. The model is differentiated not only by a large display, unprecedented viewing experience and an astonishing design, but also by the availability of inbuilt speakers of 14 W power (7 W each). According to MMD, the product is an ideal means for web surfing, photo/video viewing, and management of power-intensive graphics design applications.

Philips 284E5QHAD is based on MVA panel, accompanied by W-LED backlit. The panel guarantees image production in Full HD resolution, as well as a lot of other valuable specifications: wide viewing angles (176/176 degrees H/V), the support for SmartContrast technology that ensures 20M:1 dynamic contrast index, the maximal brightness of 300 cd/m2, and the maximal number of displayed colors – 16.7 million.

Zalman has officially launched a new liquid cooling system, Reserator 3 Max Dual, firstly introduced at CES 2014. It is peculiar by the support of all up-to-date CPU sockets for AMD and Intel platforms, as well as by outstanding performance. TUL Corporation is about to hit the market with an off-beat gaming graphics card, based on AMD Radeon RX 480 GPU. The PowerColor Red Devil RX 480 8 GB GDDR5 employs a retrofitted PCB with the 6+1-phase VRM. The board incorporates a single 8-pin connector, instead of a 6-pin one.

Like the etalon model, the creation from TUL uses the 4th-gen AMD GCN architecture & AMD Polaris 10 GPU. The integrated GPU features 2304 stream processors, 144 TMUs and 32 ROPs. Its clock frequency index makes up 1330 MHz. The core cooperates with 8 GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit interface) that runs at 2000/8000 MHz frequency (base/efficient). The list of external interfaces boasts three DisplayPort ports, one HDMI and one DVI-D port.
