New Thunderbolt Edition Graphics Card from Zotac

Zotac, a well-known designer of graphics solutions, has developed a unique in design graphics card. Entitled Zotac GeForce GTX 660 Thunderbolt, this card is heading a new Thunderbolt Edition series that is considered to be a more affordable product than Extreme series. The novice is equipped with an original PCB and an effective cooling system.

Zotac GeForce GTX 660 Thunderbolt is primarily characterized by a unique cooling system that consists of a large aluminum heatsink, three cooper heat pipes which get in contact with GPU from one side, and a couple of 100 mm fans. It should be mentioned that Zotac developers have realized a dedicated Eclean technology in their card that enables a hassle-free demounting of fans and top cover with the purpose of cleaning the cooler from dust.

GK106 chip, designed on Kepler architecture under 28 nm technological process, functions as the basic element in GeForce GTX 660 Thunderbolt card. It involves 960 CUDA cores and operates at 980 MHz …

Zalman Intros Three New Graphics Cards with VF1500 Cooler

Zalman, a well-known manufacturer of CPU coolers, PC cases and graphics solutions, introduces three new graphics card models, codenamed GeForce GTX 600 D5 OC VF1500, GeForce GTX 660 Ti D5 VF1500 and GeForce GTX 660 Ti D5 OC VF1500. All three models are equipped with a brand two-slot VF1500 cooler. Its framework consists of four heatpipes which transfer heat from GPU surface to an aluminum heatsink. This heatsink is accompanied by a couple of 92 mm fans, the maximal rotational speed of which achieves 1500 RPM. If compared with a reference cooler, VF1500 reduces GPU operational temperature at 25 degrees (from 81 to 56 degrees), producing 10 dB less noise (26 dB vs 36 dB).

The first model is based on Nvidia GK106 processor, designed under 28 nm technological process. It is characterized by heightened clock frequencies: nominal 1006 MHz against reference 980 MHz, and dynamic 1059 MHz against reference 1033 MHz.

The other two models, GeForce GTX 660 Ti D5 VF1500 and GeForce GTX …

SilverStone Comes up with Grandia GD10 HTPC Case

All devotees of full-scale systems might now revel in an opportunity to ‘locate’ ATX-motherboards into a small-sized elegant enclosure. SilverStone is glad to introduce a new HTPC case with horizontal orientation – the Grandia GD10. It is predestined not only for CEB and micro-ATX boards, but also for standard ATX models with the maximum of 8 expansion slots; that should become a major advantage of the new-comer.

SilverStone Grandia GD10 features 442x171x362 mm dimensions and draws attention by a stylish, compact design. The layout allows for creating diverse system configurations with multiple unique elements. Therein, the case accommodates a single slot for 5.25-inch drives that might be converted, if necessary, into a bay for a single 3.5-inch drive or two 2.5-inch drives. Additionally, there are two separate 3.5-inch bays and one 2.5-inch bay for hard drives.

Internal spacing is estimated for the graphics cards with the ultimate length of 309.88 mm and for the …
