Intel to Take Care about Power-Efficiency of Ivy Bridge Processors

The rising competition between the two giants in the manufacture of processing units, Intel and AMD, makes each of the two invent ever newer technologies and implement them in their products. The attempts to dominate in the market and win as many consumers usually develop into brand new approaches and brand new advanced facilities.

EK Water Blocks, a Slovenian company that won a good reputation due to manufacturing of water cooling systems, has gladdened the Internet community by the release of two new products: water blocks EK-FC7970 and EK-FB Kit SR-X. The two models are intended for the implementation in premium-class motherboards Evga Classified SR-X and graphics cards MSI R7970 Lightning.

Water block EK-FC7970 covers the whole surface of the graphics card circuit board; water current passes over GPU, voltage controllers and memory microchips. This model is delivered in a single variant with nickel-plated base and silver-black lid from acetal resin. The nominal delivery set includes EK-FC Link bridge that empowers the creation of CrossFireX configuration in the implementation of four graphics cards.

The Release of AMD FX 8320 and FX 8300 Is Round the Corner

AMD is working intensely at the development of 8-core processors, the release of which is prognosticated for the 4th quarter of 2012. According to the preliminary data, AMD will release two models at once: FX 8320 and FX 8300. Such information could not but rejoice all customers using AMD FX processors on Bulldozer architecture, since the new CPUs are promised to be more efficient. The new processors will go with Vishera codename and will be built on the improved Piledriver architecture.

Similar to the flagship model AMD FX-8350, the two models will be designed on the basis of 32 nm micro architecture. They will support DDR3 memory with the frequency of 1866 MHz and will have 8Mb of L3 cache-memory. The two models will also support Socket AM3+ slot.
