Asus Boasts One More Graphics Adapter with a Two-Slot Cooler

Asus has replenished its graphics card series based on Kepler architecture with a brand variation of one-chip GeForce GTX 680 adapter. Brand Asus GeForce GTX 680 card has been developed on an original in design circuit board and is notable by the doubled to 4GB GDDR5 memory capacity. Sapphire is about to launch the first modification of AMD’s graphics adapter – the Radeon RX 480. The new-comer, entitled Radeon RX 480 Nitro OC, is already available for preorder at the price tag of $322. The PCB, as well as the integrated cooling system, employs a modified design. The ‘OC’ postfix implies that the card has been overclocked to provide for a better performance.



Sapphire Radeon RX 480 Nitro OC comes equipped with AMD Polaris 10 GPU (14 nm, FinFet, GCN). It features 2304 stream processors, 32 ROPs & 144 TMUs. Sapphire Technology Ltd. is going to release a new graphics card on Tahiti LE chip. Codenamed Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic, the card is one of the first models to use the newest GPU, developed under 28 nm technological process. The suffix 'GHz Edition' in the model's name witnesses that the nominal GPU clock frequency exceeds the index of 1 GHz.



The core of Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic is based on Graphics Core Next architecture and contains 1536 current processors. The card's inventory involves 2GB of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit bus interface. The memory modules are known to operate at 6000 MHz frequency. GPU operational frequencies are still not clarified, but it's possible to assume that on activation of AMD PowerTune option the card will demonstrate some outstanding performance.
