Mushkin Releases SSDs for Ultra-Thin Devices

Tendencies of the the past twelve months vividly demonstrate that ultra-thin devices are gradually replacing traditional laptops and nettops. Indeed, ultrabooks are becoming in great demand as with corporate clients, so with average customers. This is explained firstly by their ultra-compact and ultra-convenient design, and secondly, by their unmatched performance and data storage facilities. The latter is secured by dedicated SSD solutions which are delivered in compact format. Mushkin follows the current market tendencies, introducing ultra-compact SSD series, codenamed 7mm Enhanced Chronos Deluxe.

The 7mm Chronos Deluxe series is represented by six models of 60GB, 90GB, 120GB, 180GB, 240GB, and 480GB capacities. They have been developed as an alternative to the Chronos Deluxe 9.3 mm SSD line with the aim to absolutely comply with ultrabook form-factor. All the models of new series are based on LSI SandForce SF-2281 controller. They employ NAND MLC synchronous flash-memory and …
